But in all seriousness, your typical terrorists don't expect to live to old age nor are they afraid of death. A ~3,000/1 death count with 10 years to soak it in would be a wet dream for that kind of person.
The wars themselves hurt us more than the actual tragedy of 9/11.

We also got one of his son in that same attack.
And he wasn't the only one who orchestrated the 9/11 terrorist attack.
We got them too.
And a bunch of terrorist "grunts".

You're forgetting that the organization this man lead has been virtually wiped clean of their leadership all around the world and have been almost completely removed from their primary base of operations. This wasn't a 3000-to-1 exchange: We kicked the living hell out of that whole group, and the one that protected them. This won was and has been a major win for the U.S.
Real question now is what El Presidente will do now.
Bad Memory
Yeah go usa!!!!!!!!
I'm not saying we didn't kill a bunch of terrorists. Look to my original post. To put it simply, if you're planning on being a terrorist, Osama's fate really isn't much of a deterrent seeing as it took 10 years to actually kill him and significantly damaged the U.S. Ironically our occupation in the middle east aggravated terrorism more than it deterred it.
The Afghanistan war was completely illegitimate. The Iraq was, if you excuse Bush's jumping the gun, legitimate only up to the point where no WMDs were found.
MLK's radical pacifism is right up there with with Jesus. The false quote is analogous to saying a bear crapped in the woods at 5:00PM. It's easy to believe because it's to be expected from a bear, yet it could be completely false. MLK often preached about loving your enemy, never resorting to violence, never hating, etc.
Despite the fact that so many praise him, very few people truly respect and live by his words. If you think MLK would be celebrating Osama's death because he's cool like that, you're out of your mind.

I decided I had to try to force myself online today just because of Osama's recent death. Thank god the man is finally dead. It might of took ten years but the families of the 9/11 victims can finally feel some feeling of justice now that Osama is finally off this earth. Even though it took this long I'm very happy it finally happened. America all the way.
Nonon Jakuzure - Best Kill la Kill baePretty damn great! #spoke2soonOta "The Cutest Otaku" 2016 - Lol, how's your account doing lately? Oh wait.
Well, watching the news I saw a lot of clips where people were celebrating and skreaming in joy of his death. And ther were also the once that didn't belive in it and said that they'll only would if they see some DNA results as an evidence and the once that were somewhat relived because of his death but scared for what will happend in the future, assuming that more terrorists insted of standing still might want to get revange.
So I'm not sure should people be happy or pray for the worst not to occure.

Afghanistan was actively supporting Al'Qaeda, and vice versa. So it was only illegitimate in so far as we technically declared war against an organization, albeit one sponsored by a nation state that refused any cooperation with the US. But lets not pretend they were easily delineable from each other, they had exceedingly close ties, dismantling Al'Qaeda without dismantling the Taliban government in Afghanistan would have been a "victory" at best. They simply would have had to find a new terrorist organization to sponsor.
On the other hand, the Iraq invasion was based almost solely on the testimony of one informant who most deemed dubious at best but fit in with the Bush administrations aspirations and preconceived notions. Is attacking a country based on the word of a single man, or even a few men legitimate? I'd argue not. We did eventually find Chemical WMDs, but we knew he had those, and they were not the story about dirty bombs and city busters that Colin Powell sold congress or the UN.
Ehhh, I dunno if I'll stick around. We'll see.

The days fly by and the feelings remain
So far away and causing us pain
That's okay we'll make it through
Soon we'll get to say "I love you" ♥

To get back to the point of the thread:
I was watching the Colbert Report this morning and a guest said something pretty interesting.
He compared recent events (the assassination and the war on terror) to trying to wipe Mc. Donalds off the face of the earth. You could easily put the first Mc. Donalds out of business, but you've still got thousands of golden arches around the world.
Yes, we killed a man who is believed to be responsible for hundreds of thousands of lives ending. How many more people will die from terrorists, regardless of our efforts?
If you want true justice and truly believe "terrorists" are the ones responsible, then logic says they ALL have to go.
Good luck doing that with an M16.

According to the news I watches last night, they dumped the body in the ocean.
As a conspiracy theorist myself, yes, I think it's a scam, probably just to give us a reason to stay in the war.
I had mixed emotions about this whole Bin Laden death thing. I'm somewhat relieved that he's gone because now we don't have to worry about him terrorizing the U.S anymore, but then I'm sickened by this because we were basically doing the same thing that they did to us by killing him.
Bin Laden may be dead, but I'll bet his followers are concocting another 9/11ish horror show. We'll see what happens.
What does Romans and led poising have to do with any of this.. And Rome did not fall because of lead poisoning. Wherever you got that bit of information from is wrong.
You're just going off on some irrelevant history lesson to prove you know history. Rome was a a giant empire consisting of the Western and Eastern empires which covered now Italy..Spain.. a tiny part of Asia. N-Africa etc. They had a huge territory with a religion/government and everything going on. Al-Quida on the other hand is just a group of crazy masterminds who will kill you if you don't accept their beliefs pretty much. I still don't see how either of the two correlate.
