AP is ok. If you do fine in ordinary classes or honors then your golden.

Not really. Personally, I can sleep through most high school classes, not learn anything and still pass the class. Does that help me at all? Nope.

If you do terribly in AP it does not help at all, just makes colleges a little deterred from you.

That's not what I'm told. Apparently taking AP and challenging yourself looks good on your transcript. Maybe that's why I'm sent so many scholarship offers even if I'm in the 50ish% perfectile in class.

Well, I took few AP classes so I wouldn't be so bored.. needed a challenge.

There's no equivalent to AP classes in Sweden, so I wouldn't know.

I think that AP class is worth your time because you get a better education and you challenge yourself as well.

Well they say taking AP tests in high school saves you a buttload of money in college, so in my opinion, you should take as many as you can handle in high school.

Currently I'm taking AP Literature and AP Biology. -_-

Well, that really depends on you. If you want to get a college credit than yeah it is a big deal if you score lower than the colleges you want to go to's requirement. But i know some people just take it to avoid taking the final for the AP class. In my school it was either take the AP exam or the final. So everyone took the AP exam since they didn't want to take the final and got 1's on the exam.

Nah. It's okay to fail the class. It only affects you highschool GPA. But that doesn't mean you should just plain not try in the class.

I failed Calculus last year and passed the exam. This year I'm retaking the class to make my exam score higher (And also to not lose any math skills). After all, my college GPA matters more to me.

Even if I do pass the AP Exam, I'll probably end up taking the class again, especially if it is math or science (since I'll probably end up majoring in some sort of science).
