Personally, I find it amazing that any judge would not laugh the case out of the courtroom. This is clearly one of those instances you sit a kid down and explain that he's not supposed to do that. Not charging the kid with first-degree sexual assault.

Okaaay.... The child isn't being forced to stand trial, but the guidelines for Competency should still apply to the case. The kid was 6 at the time, had recently been to the doctor, AND undergone a rectal exam. Of course he is going to explain, and even show his friends! Also, if the mother didn't arrive until mid-to late game, who was supervising these three little kids? The parents that filed the paperwork and everyone who jumped on the bandwagon for votes and such, need to be strung up by their toes and used as pinatas at this kids next birthday...

The boy's parents said they provided evidence their son did not act out with other children and had gotten appropriate services. The girl's parents told the paper that they tried to work things out privately but that D's parents did not provide that opportunity.

The new federal lawsuit contends the whole investigation was biased because the girl's father is a "well-known political figure in Grant County," and her aunt a regional social services supervisor. It claims now-retired Grant County Sheriff's Sgt. James Kopp "waged a relentless campaign to discredit and embarrass and humiliate 6-year-old D," and that the entire process was unreasonable and unconscionable.

Wow, really? All of that nonsense because the kids were playing doctor? Not only is it not that big of a deal if kids are playing doctor (though parents should tell that it is not very appropriate), it is almost expected of them to do so.
