I reallly like this one.
Aside the fact that you did it on your own, without a tutorial is amazing.
but my favorite parts about it, are the border it has, and the backround. They flow, and I like that. <3 Nice work!

I did it without a tutorial again -_- maybe I should use them with every sig I do until I get better. I wanted a blue set so here is my blue set. I don't know why the render is kinda blurry I got it from Planet Renders and it looked fine until I scaled it to make it smaller. Any suggestions on how to fix the blurriness? >.<

You can use sharpness to fix the blurry effect.

Also, if it helps after sharpening the image, add a Gaussian blur at the effectiveness of 1.0 both horizontal and vertical.

I read you use GIMP.

I both use GIMP and PS.

From my understanding,

You're a novice at GIMP. So it may be a lot of work until you effectively blend a lot of things.

- And blending is all upon the artist, if they think they're doing blending right, then they are. Nothing wrong comes from one's work.

Though if you seek advice,

Your blending style is moderately there -

I suggest that you take a small fuzzy brush and turn the "jitter" settings to 1.00 and start smudging along the edges of a render, or wherever you want.

To get a sense of blending on the render itself, apply a soft glow filter on it.

Filter -> Artistic -> Soft Glow.

IF needed, tone down the glow settings.

Like you said, the extract is very blurry and looks bad quality. When making it smaller, I suggest not warping it any taller or wider than the original, that might be the problem. Also on blending, i've found that selecting the extract, and using the feather blur (I think? I haven't made sigs for awhile -.-; ) will help it blend in, as well as making a copy of the extract and gaussian blurring it at about 10-15 and overlaying it is what I learned at first, and is good since you are just starting out.

I didn't modify the widening or the heightening any differently o.o I scaled it and cropped it ^^ alright, I'll check out the blurring tools.

This is a set I made my friend. She likes witches so she picked the image. It was my first time extracting an image, I bet you can tell :| so it's not the best quality. Green is her favorite color so I tried to put green in there and make it so it looked ok with the image, but I'm not sure. C and C please. ^^;

Aaww! This set is adorable!
This is my favorite one out of all of your works.

However, the clarity and effects need improvement.

Other than that they're a great start!
at this rate, you'll definitely get better!
