Work Trouble :(

Hey i've got a bit of an issue, and need some help with this one. I'm currently working full time, but i've been offered an interview with another company. I'd take that job over my current one as it's just a better package over all. Anyway, i've got my interview soon, they are wary of my current employment. Their going to ask me the reason why i want to leave my current employer. My main reason isn't something that would be great in the interview "You pay more". Any ideas on what i could say?

You can totally say that in a "smart" way.

You could say you took your current job because you were unemployed and couldn't afford to be picky, but your new prospective employer offers a job you actually are interested in.

Could say that, could also say, there is more room for growth with their company, and things like that. Dont have to tell them that by growth you mean more money.

As a manager I do a bit of recruitment. When I ask this question I'm looking for an answer along the lines of "I am no longer feeling challenged in my role and I'm ready for bigger and better things" or maybe "I've always REALLY wanted to work for your company, and although I enjoy my current job, I just had to apply when I saw the position." I will look for someone that wants THIS job, not just ANY job. Also if money is something that motivates you, don't be afraid to be honest about it. Your new boss wants to know how to motivate you to get results.

Be confident, but not cocky and you'll be fine.

flat out tell them that you work for the highest bidder. If you don't tell them, they'll just guess it anyways. Its not like its unheard of or something. Either way, you should just quit whoever you're doing and join the military so that one day we may meet and fight to the death on the honorable field of battle!

If you do that though you'll be asked to give reasons on how it'll do it. So come up with them ahead of time.

Just say your current job offers little in the way challenges to you, responsibilty and no room for promotion. That you're looking for position that will allow you to be able to show what you can do.
