Japan! Hakone Checkpoint & Lake Ashi area

So I figure it's about time I post at least some of my Japan photos here. These ones are from the Hakone checkpoint.

Hakone, in the Kanagawa prefecture, used to serve as a primary checkpoint for travelers to/from Edo (Tokyo) under the Tokugawa shogunate.

Lake Ashi, with Mt Fuji in the background

?wakudani sulfur vents. Eggs boiled in the sulfuric hot springs turn black, and eating one of the black eggs is said to add seven years to your life. I ate two O_o;

Those are really nice pics. Japan is really beautiful! I loved it so much when I went there!

Holy mother...

Japan has, and will remain my primary travel destination. Of course, thanks for the pics. I especially like the shots with Mt. Fuji!

did the black eggs taste good? i had an opportunity to eat one when i went there but turned it down xD

Actually they tasted a lot like regular boiled eggs and only had a very faint sulfur smell before you peel them

Oooooh, pretty!! Makes me miss Japan. ;_;

I went to Hakone a couple years ago. I think it was in late November though, because the leaves had a lot more colour. Did you go on the cable cars? Or the boats?

I especially love the last photo. The moon looks huge.

And in Hakone I did both, the boat and the cable car. I ended up getting the Hakone Free Pass, which covered pretty much every form of transportation in the area.
