Default Is it true that Disney had hidden images in its movies?

No, I'm not talking about the "Images of stars that prove that Walt Disney was a devil worshiper, and his company is run by the Illuminati" conspiracy theory. I mean other accusations that some of the Disney animated films for kids, some of them actually contained hidden images that are anything BUT kid friendly. So far the accusations are:

Lion King: has the word "SEX" written in a cloud of dust.

Little Mermaid: box art has an image of the male reproductive organ.

Little Mermaid: movie contains a scene of a priest getting "turned on".

Aladdin: has Aladdin saying something about someone should get naked.

Are these accusations true? Or just optical/auditory illusions from a particular viewer? Just because after you know about the accusations, and then see it for yourself, doesn't mean that it actually exists. It is a known fact that once someone is told to expect to hear a certain thing in an otherwise hard to hear piece of audio, one can believe they hear what they are expecting to hear, based on what someone had told them. Same thing visually. If there is a random pattern of dots, but someone tells you it looks like something, then you probably will see that very same "hidden image" in the dots.

What I'm wondering is, is this a case of such illusions? Or are they actually hidden images/phrases?

If you look for hidden messages, you will find them, even if they weren't put there intentionally. Pareidoliawiki is an inescapable fact of how our brains operate.

One could conclude though that the image of the tower on the Little Mermaid cover was accidentally drawn mishapen, and as a result happened to look that way. Many people who still belive Disney to be a kid friendly company will say so. Disney haters will say that was no accident.

I'm not sure WHAT to believe.

It also is pretty obvious that the old priest's knee cap is pictured there (drawn in a protruding caricature style), and nothing more. If this was an attempt to hide in plain site an image that wasn't kid friendly, then they failed, because it is VERY visible. So I've got to conclude it was CLEARLY meant as a knee cap. I'd be more willing to believe that the image of that tower was meant to be dirty, as it at least was well hidden in the picture.

Nobody really knows. This is pretty old stuff and like what Eris said, maybe it wasn't intentional.

While I think it's fun to look for symbolism in these kind of things I think the guy with the 'sex written in everything' videos is taking things a bit too far. He's pointing out the word sex in things like smoke or water. I don't see it an think he's clutching at straws.
This is a Sig. It's horribly out of date.

Maybe personally I think people were really bored when they decided there was "hidden images" in Disney Movies and was just looking for some entertainment.

Personally I never saw anything in the dinsney movies until I saw the whole conspiracy theory about sex related messages. Even tho I know what to exspect, I still don`t see it. I even freeze framed the lion king on the ``supposed`` scene. but still didn`t see it. Only youtube videos show the actual events in the movies wich are impossible to view on your own... wich makes me believe it`s a hoax. I mean I own the lion king on the old school vhs (first release) and still saw nothing. So I believe it`s just a publicity stunt; for whatever reason is unknown

Also did you know that Disney made a movie openly that had been based off of a book that was written on nothing but acid trips? Yeah whats the big deal? Half of those hidden images really just look like someone is trying too hard to make it remotely resemble something bad. The only notable one would be the pollen scene in the lion king. I believe it was aimed to look like "gfx" [graphic effects] and us being as perverted as we are turned it into "sex".

Though THIS one (as Snopes) pointed out is TRUE!
    http://www.snopes.com/disney/films/rescuers.asp
    O_O
    WTH!!!!!!

And this was possibly true, though possibly not (that is, the area that appears unclothed may have been intended to be colored differently to indicate underwear, but due to a mistake it was left darker looking like skin and pubic hair, though which region was the possible mistake I'm not sure, and it may have been both regions, though the article didn't exactly specify).
    http://www.snopes.com/disney/films/jessica.asp
If however it was NOT a simple mistake in paint color used, then it is a true Disney HENTAI scene!
    LOLWUT I don't even....

Not on the cart, carried between the two men ahead of the cart. It's easy to miss, but it's there. I know that scene pretty well, though, because when I was little I had an obsession with Beauty and the Beast that cannot be explained, and Belle is in that scene.
I watched Beauty and the Beast every day, sometimes more than once. My brother, on the other hand, watched The Hunchback of Notre Dame and sang along, climbing over the furniture as if it were sturdy architecture.
I've scrutinized that scene for years.

I eagerly await a mocking photo or quip in the grandest tradition. Maybe taunt me with one of the songs, refer to me as "Crazy Old Maurice"- I'm sure you'll think of something.

I can believe at least a few of the alleged incidents were either attempts to sneak in innocuous images that went awry or were just pranks to see what they could get past censors. I know that a few Star Wars films have things like potatoes, gum, bottle caps and sneakers mixed in with space combat and debris, so a topless woman in a window doesn't seem that surprising.

Actually it is. Being that it's a KIDS cartoon, and the image was probably originally obtained from an "adult magazine", and it is ILLEGAL to show porn to kids; yes it is VERY surprising somebody would sneak something of THAT NATURE into the movie.

I think it's a load of bull. While I was looking through, I didn't notice any of the word 'sex' until it was pointed out and even then I sometimes couldn't see it. Not only that but his extreme scrutiny of Beauty and the Beast is completely farfetched. The whole movie was drawn by the same person so it only makes sense that hand figurations would be similar throughout. The artist was probably good at drawing hands like that so he stuck with it. The only one that can be truely justified is the boob scene in the Rescuers and honestly, it's so small and such a quick shot, I don't know how anyone would have even found it unless they were looking for it so yeah. Thats my stance on the matter.

It seems like making a mountain out of a molehill. A lot of this stuff is a stretch, and as for a topless woman, it's nothing most children didn't see during their first couple years of life. Just sayin'.

I think the only one thats really valid is the sex in the stars in Lion King people who worked on the film have admitted to it being a joke to see if they could get away with it.

I thought it was supposed to be "SFX" as in the special Effects department. Or was it sex all along.
