Bought a bad game.... again

Yes, we've all done it. Maybe played the demo and it seemed better then what the game actually was, or perhaps just an impulse buy for what the case graphic made it look like. But at the end of the day we all get the same feeling.... WHY THE HECK DID I BUY THIS CRAP!?

For me it would be Dirge of Cerberes... bought it just for the Final Fantasy collection, but sadly dissapointed with it. Everything about the game sucked; deffinately not what I expected.
In a close second is Enslaved for the ps3. Great game concept, but horrible story; completely filled with plot holes.

Command and Conquer 4. I spent a few months supporting it with my "Don't Knock it til you try it" additude until I tryed it... I then Knocked it. It absolutely sucked!. It was not Command and Conquer.

Call Of Duty: Blacks Ops. I only bought it because i thought it would be better than MW2 but it wasn't. I'm sure it's a great game in other peoples eyes but i felt like it was a terrible game.

Tony Hawks' Proving Grounds.

A relatively old game, I know ... but I've been playing Tony Hawks' games since THPS1 on the Playstation, so I figured that it would be good.

It's not. Considering this is on xbox 360, I can't even be bothered to play it for achievements (since you can't start unlocking any until you finish the damn game -_-) Ultimately what I've done is deleted (yes, completely removed) my play history of the game from my profile ... and thrown the game box behind my sofa so I don't remind myself that I bought it every time I lean over to rummage for a game to play. -_-

Maybe it doesn't help that I bought Skate 2. Much better skateboarding game.

Got Red Faction: Guerilla on a steam sale some last x-mas or something. This game sucks so badly. But then, it was like $5, so I guess I got what I paid for. It's a sandbox game gone wrong. The worst sort of cookie-cutter side missions, bland and uninteresting story, and fairly unpolished gameplay.

Modern Warfare 2.
Yes, it DOES suck, why? I was for once able to beat a FPS on easy to normal difficulty, so I decided to go on to multiplayer, OH GOD IT BURNS! The health regeneration system is SO goddamn bad, "OH LOOK AT ME! I GOT A GAINT HOLE IN MY STOMACH! WOOT IT'S GONE!", the Killstreaks are Overpowered(yes they are, they DO make the game bad in many cases), Nuke Boosters, my brother was able to get like, 15 kills from some noobs trying to nuke boost, Noobtubes, Noobtubes Everywhere! A pistol with the range of a sniper rifle, a sniper rifle with the damage of a shotgun in your face, shotguns with sniper range! Kids that can't speak english goes "HURR DURR NUB YO CRY OH?", I just want to kill them with my bare hands... And for once, stop making games where teamwork aren't even NEEDED, god, I was able to, myself, hold off the far right side(when spawning by the train) on Derail for about, 10 minutes? I was standing so they could see me, but I jumped and shot them, over and over agian, I got about, 15 kills on that, and I wasn't camping, I was protecting the spawn, I was nearly dead all the time, but NO, the regeneration were quick as hell and I was like on the top of the world agian, GODDAMNIT, ACTIVISION!
I haven't played it for about a truckload of time now, I SO MUCH regret buying it, another game was Unreal 2(altough dad bought if for me on my birthday for a year or two ago... I was extremly sad to tell him I hated it).
The Command and Conquer game with Kane's Wrath expansion, ugh, I tried to play it, oh god, why couldn't it work? It appears the games crappy graphics aren't working correctly with my graphics card for Single-Player, so I took a round Multiplayer mode with my father and brother(my dad almost NEVER play games, but stuff like Red Alert 2, Command and Conquer: Generals and Tiberian Sun(spellfail?), those games, were times <3), let's just say that Multiplayer wasn't all that great either.
I have bought MANY bad games, for PS2, XBox and PC, so it's VERY rare that I get a new game, other than from GOG.com or some special days, but yeah, in the end of the day, it feels like I got tricked into buying this crap.

Worst gaming buy ever? Hmmmmmm.....an old game for the PC called Beavis and Butthead: Bunghole In One. It was a miniature golf game with Beavis And Butthead so I figured I'd get a few chuckles. No. I got a piece o' crap that deserved to be thrown in a fire and disposed of in a land fill. GAWD! I hate that game. >.<

Probably Metro 2033 not that it was a bad game but it was 60 bucks new and I beat it the day I bought it....felt a little ripped off.

Mirror's Edge, I just couldnt get into it for some strange reason. I like the plot I just didnt really enjoy playing it as a game though but it would make a good movie.

The worst purchase I've ever made when it comes to video games was most surely the game FarCry2 for my Xbox 360 which I sold (Both the 360 and Farcry2)

Now now, don't go think I'm not going to explain why...So brace yourself if your like me and actually read these long posts.

First off the plot of the game was epic, guy in Africa with free roaming and out to get the diamonds and stop the drug guy. Nice but the plot twists a lot, maybe a little TO much, I mean by the end of the game nothing makes any sense. Second off everything in that game is to slow, the cars can never seem to pull off more than 50mph, I mean is that realistic at all? Not to mention if the AI is driving a car they can seem to pull off 100mph magically! Second off it's the AI, stealth is not a factor in this game seeing as if you step in the general area of the AI enemy's place, they will magically all be alerted of your being in the area and act accordingly. Now ok, whatever, but you gotta see that the AI SUCKS! Half the time they run past you and don't even shoot! They just run in circles randomly and it's like they couldn't hit a tree trunk a meter away with a shotgun to save their lives... Even if you can manage to overlook that, the weapons all suck, completely unrealistic and they all lack damage. The only way to kill someone is with a headshot, if not you'd have to grab the biggest baddest sniper rifle in the game (50. Cal) and shoot one of these guys like 3 times just to bring them down. Sometimes even the headshot doesn't work with pistols and some rifles! The guns rust, that's cool, they jam, cool as well....But they rust so quickly! You have a brand new gun, 5 minutes later it's rusty and will break on it's own! I beat the campaign just for achievements and threw it back in my game deposit and didn't even look at it until I decided to play it online. I think I vommited, I couldn't play more than 10 minutes of multiplayer before noticing how terrible it was. The map editor was terrible to, hard to use, confusing and very lacking of items and options. Worst $60 I've ever spent in my life...

How's it terrible? The multiplayer was balanced so I don't see why you're complaining. Unless you don't like balance...(Or maybe something else I haven't heard of yet.)

This I can understand. MW2 was unbalanced in every way possible. I even pulled off two nukes in the same prestige. Still though, it's a good game, if you mind the complete unbalance...

Command and Conquer 3 Kane's Wrath worked for me. It could be your computer's performance, it could be something else like nuking someone's base, that could make you're game crash if you look directly at it.

So, my worst purchase, I seriously don't know but I have a feeling that Command and Conquer Red Alert 3 Uprising maybe my worst purchase since it doesn't have multiplayer. (I downloaded my copy so it could be different.)

i've bought a lot of bad games but after aboutmy tenth bad game bought in a row i stopped playing games for a while. i just wait for my friends to buy it then i think about buying it. and i hate the way they advertise most games. they put all the cool stuff on the ad then when you buy it the only cool parts are the ones that they showed. it really takes to fun from the game.

I didn't buy it, though. It was actually a birthday present from my parents. It was just so bad that I feel like I owe my parents that $50 back. Nobody should spend anymore than a penny on that worthless rehash.

I loved the original Animal Crossing, but I can't stand City Folk. It's like a completely different company developed it, a company that had no idea what they were doing at all. The fact that it was cheaply thrown together is obvious. The "city" was just an gimmick, a gimmick that ended up taking away from the game itself (by taking away the special visitors and putting them all in one place, killing the replayability). Most of the other changes made in that game were either really bad or were no good due to being poorly executed.
