The Navi from Avatar; are they furries, or no.

Was just chatting with someone right now, when they told me they found a debate thread on another forum called the said title- and it had over 100 pages.

anyways, they thought it be hilarious if the same thread was made on AF (too lazy to make it themselves though. >.>)

I don't think so... they're more human than not.. although they do have tails and animal-ish ears. So really I have no idea. I guess I'd say they're neither.

Though strictly speaking, doesn't "furries" only mean animals, and not imaginary creatures? (e.g., demons, angles, etc.)

If the answer is yes, the Navi still fall under the same category as furries, except with a different name. (I don't know what the hell that other thing is called.)

A furry is an anthropomorphic representation of an animal, fictional or otherwise.

Being as the Na'vi are not an animal in the traditional sense, and are humanoid to begin with, they are not furries.

No they're more of a humanoid creature. Furries look more like animals.

I think it's still playing into the same concept. I wouldn't say they're traditional furries {traditional hahhahah} but they definitely have the same "appeal".
