Am on holidays for two weeks so bought Skyrim. Learned PS3 had YLOD. Fix YLOD, play Skyrim for 5 hours then YLOD again My life is over.

Darn PS3 lag problem it is rendering the game unplayable I really should have bought it for PC it’s at the point where I can’t go into any main towns anymore or the game freezes completely.
They better patch it soon or I am going to haft to buy it again over steam.

Not smooth sailing on the PC or XBox either. I've had to run it in 95 compatibility mode to get it to run since it has major freezing issues on XP.

What the hell? It's a new game. New games are not compatible with windows 95. So running it in 95 mode makes it *less* compatible.

More compatible the XP right now. No freezes. Sure, I take a graphics hit and a bit of lag, but at least it's playable.

Think I`ll start a new game as a mage, until the patch that they say will fix the worst freezing issues comes.
No game is worth getting YLOD for :P
Atm, my save file is 300kb from being 8mb and it`s lagging alot and I`ve gotten 3 hard freezes.

Having fun with my mage. Though thinking of doing a sort of shadow dancer with illusion next. Mostly just for invisibility and muffle early on till I can get the perks.

Just found my first bound weapon spell.

I'm thinking of leveling up my conjuration and using it simply for a bound bow, and dump perks into another skill set instead archery, maybe speech.

Anyone have any thoughts on conjured weapons as opposed to physical weapons?

Also, if I level up the sneaking perks that give damage multipliers for using a sneak attack for a certain weapon, and use a conjured version of that weapon, do I still get the damage bonus?

@Velvet_Nightmare Yes, bound weapons benefit from the corresponding perks. They also raise their corresponding skills, i.e., one handed and two handed. I also think the bound sword at least, has the potential to be the strongest one handed sword. Course you don't get enchantments on it which is a con.

You can't. And the latest patch is a disapointment, throttles ram making the most the game will use is 2gb of it.

It's just the PC. I think the PS3 one will be released soon. Either way, they majorly failed with the PC patch.

Can't afforde 7. I need at least $120 for one with xp compatibility. And I'm just using a fan patch that fixes it. Which begs the question, what the heck is Bethesda doing if they haven't fixed these massive issues with the game.

I'm still figuring out how to enchant things, my roommate tried explaining to me but I couldn't follow him.

At least with conjured weapons I can still put poisons on em, and it saves inventory space since I'm not lvling up stamina.
