Default Can Furry be considered an anime genre?

You all know what I'm talking about. Those creepily realistic cartoon drawings of animal-people that actually look like animal-people and not just people with ears and/or tail tacked on. The artists tend to follow the anime style or at least borrow from it. So, can Furry be considered an anime genre?

Probably not since there's plenty of furry drawings out there that don't draw from anime.

I voted no. Reasoning? It's an artistic style, not a content identifier. Inuyasha; easy, it's based upon the Feudal Era, with some fantasy elements. Gundam? It's a Mecha-Anime, due to it's usage of large Machines being piloted, and generally humanoid in shape. Furry is too general, it doesn't directly involve the characters, especially plot-wwise. Now if there was a Hentai, Romance, or Drama Anime with that being a theme and part of the story, then I guess it'd work.

Come to the RPG section, we always need more writers and members.

Oh definitely not furry is just an mish mosh of anime and many other things....so yeah it can be anime influenced but it isn't anime in it's own right.

out of curiosity what's the point in hiding the resaults of a poll?

i voted no, it's too small a class of anime to be worthy of it's own genre

Don't know, I asked him on his profile. I think people are accidentally clicking boxes when making a poll.

No. It's a style of comic illustration. It's "like" Anime, but that doesn't mean it "is".
