Need help understanding Neon Genesis

I thought I had a firm grasp of this anime and then EVA started eating the angel and I was totally lost...

Then the additional movies and extra tidbits they released were even more confusing.

the robot regenerates, because the ultimate force of god is creating and manifesting items or anything else by simply thinking about it in a fashion

for advanced ppl: it's a gift scene for the first fighteing scene, wich u faught thru

You need to watch the series a few times. There are so many things you would have missed the first time around. Also read the Manga, it always explains things in a little more detail.

What exaclty is it that you don't understand about the series/plot? What are the Eva's?

I might be able to offer my view and opinions on it for you
