Horo is Pomeranian

I was confused about Horo (Pictured) until I saw my dog just now, who is a Pomeranian and sort of has similar markings to Horo, particularly the tail. Horo also seems to share a lot of similarities with a Pomeranian. She's a homunculus (Below average height short), very hyperactive, and easily excited. Which still raises the question of; why is she a Pomeranian (A German breed of dog) when she's supposed to be a WOLF spirit?
