I hit my girlfriend, what should I do now?

So I hit my girlfriend today...Whoa, I feel like crap. I guess I'm gonna get picked up by the cops tomorrow, so I figured I would tell AF what happened.

We were having an argument and she went too far. She made a comment along the lines of "Your loser father couldn't keep a relationship together and you can't either!". When I was around 11, my parents got divorced and fought for custody. My dad wanted me and my brother because he genuinely loved us. My mom wanted us just to spite my dad. She won, and my dad kinda lost it over the decades.

This was too far for me. I had never, EVER hit a girl before, but it happened so fast I didn't even know I did it.

Basically, I cocked my fist back, and flew it straight into her nose. I thought it would be like the movies where she would get a little trickle of blood. It wasn't. Her nose EXPLODED. I think I must of broken a bunch of cartilage or something because blood shot out of both her nostrils, got all over me, got all over the floor.




We were both stunned for about 10 seconds before she started crying hysterically and ran into my room and locked the door. So I went to wash my hands, and while I was in the bathroom I heard her run out of the house and take off in her car. That was about 5 hours ago so I guess she didn't go the cops or anything. So later I went home and broke down in tears..


My mom came in the room and when she heard about the story she got scared and said your moving with your aunt and uncle in Bel-Air. I whistled for a cab and when it came near the license plate said fresh and had a dice in the mirror if anything I can say that this cab was rare but I thought "Yo homes to Bel-Air!" I pulled up to a house at about 7 or 8 and I yelled to the cab "Yo homes, smell ya later", looked at my kingdom I was finally there, to sit on my thrown as the Fresh Prince of Bel-Air.

And I myself worry about my hidden temper and fear the day that someone thats dearly important to me meets it.

One day a daughter, a son, an aunt, an uncle, or any friend or family of yours is going to be involved in this kind of thing and something bad is going to happen to them. Your going to remember this thread. Oh yes.... you will. And is the only excuses you'll have will be, "I was young" or "I thought I could handle it" or "It couldnt happen in my family"? Theres already too much of this happening in the world and now we're joking about it? Are you going to joke about raping your girlfriend next? (Ooooo I went too far.) How is that any different then what you already have posted?

Yeah, laugh if I say that women should be respected. Most women are abused because they have to put up sh*t their husband or boyfriend gives them. Now why they don't stop the violence the moment it happened, they just love their husband too much and idk, maybe they forgive them because of love. Put yourself in the situation: would you like it to see your mother or sister get beaten up every f*cking day because their husband or boyfriend take a pleasure of it? Would you sit on your *** and laugh at the pain their in? Now saying that you don't like your mother or sister is no excuse at all. It shows your heartless and cold. Well, I can't convince you. But I'm convinced that there is really REALLY something wrong with you in the head. But, your natural reaction is that you want to hurt that person too for doing that to a loved one, yes? You don't find it funny at all. Nope. Bottom line from what I'm saying: violence of any kind is not funny. Especially if it'll happen to you.

From the jokes I read: they're not funny. Quit it. Karma will bite your arse so hard that you'll bleed of shame and guilt because you laughed at this. Honestly, if you ask me, I hope it doesn't happen to anyone even though I said that. Its better off not to wait around until it does.
Shame on you that laughs of this, I think guys who abuses their wife/girlfriends have no respect on themselves. How are they able to respect their wife/girlfriend if they abuse them in so many ways. Its disgusting and one of the things I don't tolerate at all. It doesn't matter if the person is a female or not, its not right at all in general.
