The first anime I've seen was the movie Akira, which made absolutely no sense to me at the time but the cartoon violence drew me in hahaha

Hmm... my virgin anime? Fushiyugi! xD
I fell in love with the leading man even though I've forgotten his name, but bleh... It was fascinating for me when I was like 7 I think.
Proud Wife of Aleyna ♥Proud Mother of Uta ♪
Iria the Bounty Hunter for me....On the classic Sci Fi channel saturday morning japanamation block....man that and Fatal Fury totally were the bees knees when I was a youngin
DragonBall was my first anime ever
My first anime was either one of the following: Pokčmon, Inuyasha, or Dragonball. I really don't remember which came first but I know that Inuyasha was the first anime I watched when i actually knew what anime was.
My first was Pokemon and DBZ.
About 19 years ago, before I had even heard of Anime I had the VHS of the 1974 version of Jack and the Beanstalk. I watched it so much that the tape itself ended up broken. Bought the DVD recently to rewatch it so it, enjoyed it, it was pretty dark for an anime based on a fairy tail. I like this anime so much that my Exeggcutor(the second most important pokemon on my team) in Heartgold has been given the name Tulip after the character Tulip from this Anime.

^^Still working on list, not every anime I has seen has been added yet.
"Why should people trust me? They don't have any reason to, yet. Distrust is human nature. Distrust creates doubt and doubt causes people to miss judge the intention of others. But people can change, can't they?"
First anime I've watched would have to be Dragonball Z, even though I don't like the series as much now, It was pretty wicked back then.
My first anime were: Pokémon, Digimon, Yu-Gi-OH. But I was to young to realise that is was anime. The first anime I watched was Bastard!! I enoyed it very much, but I think if I watched it again now I wont enoy it as much.
That's a toughie cause its a tie between Pokemon and Sailor Moon.

I watched Doraemon when I was 4 or 5-ish, not long after I had read the manga.
Pokemon, Digimon, Gundam Wing, DBZ got me started.
then Yu-Gi-Oh came out..
then I found out what "Anime" was after Bleach came out and I starting watching subbed episodes online since the dubbed episodes were so far behind
my first official anime experience was Abenobashi Mahou Shoutengai, but the anime that cemented my place and made me a fan for life was Negima.
Honestly, lately I've only been watching Anime Movies on Blu-ray... but which anime started it all? hm..
I've seen alot of guys here saying Dragonball and Pokemon. and i'd say the same, however, those are the real public show-on-tv type on animes, however good they may be, I wouldn't see those as my "first".
I think it started with Bleach, just by accident, and i watched it until i found out i was wasting my time, when there were such beauties around the corner like Chobits and DearS and Love Hina and.... yeah. after bleach I've gone in the romance direction
but, It started with bleach... damn.
Pokemon, but I wasn't aware that it was anime back then.
In that case Naruto is my first one.
^this --> Very off-topic. Gomennesai! xD
My first anime would be Big O or Outstar....I don't remember which cuz I have been watching alot of series in my life...(plz don't tell me that I have no life, that was too cruel).

My first anime were Saint Seiya, Gundam Wing, Pokemon, Yu-Gi-Oh! and Dragon Ball. Back then I used to watch them with my dad in Adult Swim with Portuguese dubs. After learning about Bleach from a friend I learned about anime and began watching subs.
My first one must've been either Pokemon or Digimon, though i had no idea what anime's were at the time, so my first series that i knew was an anime, would've probably been Naruto.
