The proud owner of the FIRST EVER self-perpetual neko gyroscope!
I started watching One Piece 3 or so years ago and have kept with it since.
before I even knew what anime was I was watching Beyblade as a 'kid' I guess.
If I remember correctly I think the first anime I watched was Pokemon.
Cardcaptor Sakura
It all started for me with Pokemon back in the 90's when it first came out. Then Dragonball Z, I used to watch it everyday after school with one of my friends. After that it was Cowboy bebop and that's what really got me into anime.
As the great warrior-poet Ice Cube once said, "If the day does not require an AK, it is good".
Mine was Naruto, it used to be on toasted TV....
but i actually didn't know it was anime -_-
But the anime that made me obsessed with anime was Vampire Knight
and what is yours ........
you can watch on http://www.animetv.org/anime/naruto/ and enjooyyy the experince
Probably 1997 I was 5. I don't remember to much, I have only flashes from this period and of course I had no idea that was an anime :P

I will post mine in a couple of hours since there is 3 animes I need to finish and their endings will determine if they are great or bad .
Vampire knight was my first on viz anime
My first was simply one piece.
If you're counting my childhood, my first anime is either Doraemon, Akazukin Chacha, or the first Dragonball. I never watched DBZ as a kid nor as an adult so. Both Detective Conan and Digimon Adventure (never was a Pokefan) would take up the rest of my childhood till I get 'serious' in anime-watching much later.
If you're talking about the first anime that got me 'serious' into anime fandom, then it's between Clanned, Jigoku Shoujo, or Gurren Lagann. I remember streaming all three of those anime - can't remember if it's all at once or separately - around the time when I was in college four years ago. Slowly, that built up to bigger mainstream anime like NGE, FMA:Brotherhood, and of course, Death Note. I'd say I've came pretty far since then, with up to over 200 anime in MyAnimeList (though to be fair, most of them are made up of Detective Conan entries).

I am the bone of my sword
Steel is my body and fire is my blood
I have created over a thousand blades
Unknown to Death, Nor known to Life
Have withstood pain to create many weapons
Yet, those hands will never hold anything
So as I pray, unlimited blade works
My first anime to watch would be ...... INUYASHA <3
i was watching it on TV until they stopped showing it
but I was really interested in it so I searched for it and eventually got introduced in the world of Anime and Manga
My first was Inuyasha xxx got really obsessed haha and then went on to ranma 1/2 and then others xxxx
i don't remember since it's kind of blurry in my mind; anime's existence in our country was quite a boom actually so there're kids (includes me) that grew up watching anime since childhood...but that was way back the 90's before entering the millennium. so, i would say it's either Voltes 5 or Yu Yu Hakusho.
ah those were the days...
Season 1 of Sailor Moon. The DiC English dub. I think I was like 8 or 9 years old at the time. Didn't know the difference between anime and cartoon back then. Hadn't even heard of the word "anime" back then, and I didn't particularly care where any particular show had been made. Where I live it was on over-the-air analog (this was long before OTA digital TV existed) channel 11 if I remember correctly (or else it was 22). It was one of those two channels that didn't have a very strong signal where I live. I had to adjust the rabbit ears antenna on my TV just right in order to get an acceptable viewing quality. But then other channels that normally would come in very good in the antenna's normal configuration would often be received poorly with this new antenna configuration.

The dragon ball series were my first taste of anime.
- The first anime I watched was either Inuyasha or One Piece but I'm leaning more towards Inuyasha because I remember really liking that one ( I was about two or three ). The first anime I've completed, however, was Mirai Nikki.
Dragon Ball Z. I've watched it since I was little. If it weren't for that anime, I wouldn't be the anime fan that I am today. ^u^
Awesome GIF by me. <3
I see all, I know all.

because Itotallyhate the color red...
I think it was Dragon Ball Z.
Card Captor Sakura
My first anime was Avatar the Last Airbender!! After finishing that one about 3 times, I moved on to OHSHC and then Death Note. I'm now completely addicted to anime <3
It was either Pokemon or Digimon as a child. When I became older the next anime I really got into was InuYasha.
The first anime I've watched that made me into animes was Dog Days after a friend of mine kept asking me continously to give it a try.
Yu-Gi-Oh! and Pokemon were the first I ever watched, but I was young and didn't know what anime was so they were just cartoons to me. The first I ever watched when I got into anime was SAO about 2 years ago.
