Well naruto, pokemon and DBZ came on tv. Besides them my first anime was Inuyasha

My First anime was Pokemon i think, but the anime that really got me into it was eureka seven, and chobits, after i watched eureka seven i watched chobits, and ive been viewing ever since.
mine was yu yu hakasho im pretty sure thats how its spelled it got me hooked :")
Well granted, I dont think I knew the word anime when I first saw them, I just thought they were cool cartoons, but my first ones were the late 70's early 80's Voltran, StarGazers and Mobile Suit Gundam. Maybe watched some others over the years, but wouldnt say I was huge into anime.
But starting last year caught myself watching more and more, due to Netflix. First of those was High School of the Dead, due to they had put it in my zombie que, and was curious, been watching more and more anime since.
Now looking at a bunch of different places to be able to stream if possible thru tv(360), and finding Netflix is good for a lot of the older stuff, but Hulu is really good for newer stuff, so subscribing to that and probably also Crunchyroll. Plus I already am a amazon prime member, so get stuff thru that also.
my very 1st anime I watched was Pokemon. The first anime I watched that really got me into anime however was Rurouni Kenshin on Toonami and I watch anime because of Kenshin.
My first anime was actually Pokémon, but I don't really even count it as one,so my first REAL anime was Inuyasha. It was on adult swim, and I stayed up late to watch it.I didn't even know it was an anime.-_- I just thought it was a funny cartoon, but I know now,and here I am!I basically LIVE anime.
I wen poof for awhile, huh? Sorry, I guess I just kinda...dropped off. School started.
When now I'm back, have more anime under my belt, and am ready to join you all again.
Naruto

To be technically correct, this would my very first anime - which, looking back, was kinda awful if I'm being honest (The American-English dubbing not helping either). However, being 7 years old at the time I didn't know any better. Another childhood anime I remember watching was Samurai Pizza Cats (aka Cat Ninja Legend Teyandee) - perhaps my first anime of significant interest since I developed a bit of an obsession with the characters (so much so that I would draw them on a regular basis). However, it wasn't until watching Clannad (by recommendation) that I seriously started to consider collecting anime and integrating it in my lifestyle; so in effective terms, you could say that Clannad is really my first anime.

I'm somewhat new to watching anime but my first was either Eden of the East or Ouran High School Host Cub... I really don't remember which came first lol

First post, Fruits Basket. That was my first anime that I found and watched that caused me to dive into the large and vast world of Japan's anime and manga world...
Like many of you, my first anime was Pokémon.

The thing that got me into anime was reading chobits. The first anime i watched after that was Shuffle!
My first anime was Pokemon. I was about 5. They used to show it on all the kids channels.
Besides Pokemon, Yu-Gi-Oh, and DBZ my first anime was Inuyasha.
My first anime was Naruto, started about 2 years ago I remember watching 120 Shipuuden episodes in just 1 week ah ah
That's funny, alot people have said Chobits was there first. Myne was Elfen lied, and i'm glad it was. Perfect example of everything an anime should be. And then after that there was Angel beats, Death note, Chobits and Naruto. And many more following! ^.^
Explorer Oak ~ Today's mighty oak is just yesterday's seed, that held its ground. Never give up!
Well, bearing in mind cartoons, my first animes were Pokemon, Dragon Ball (I think every child who didn't watch this 2 should be a bit sad ah ah, jk), Digimon and Doraemon.
My first anime ever was Speed Racer. I watched it with my family when I was about eleven. However, I didn't really know what anime was back then. The first anime I watched while knowing it was anime was Fruits Basket. However, I soon watched a bit of Kimagure Orange Road and felt like I had seen it somewhere before...
Evangelion for me.
Aside Pokemon which I watched when I was little, the anime that I first watched and got me hooked was Tokyo mew mew.
