Aah, the memories... <3
dbz and pokemon but i was 5 and i thought they were cartoons (but the first anime i watched and i knew it was an anime was chobits)
Digimon. It was airing when I was 3-4 years old.

Well before I knew they were anime or anime inspired there was Tranzor Z (aka Mazinger Z). Voltron, Robotech (which was Macross and 2 other series mashed together) and Transformers (which was based on two other robot based anime's). God I'm old. Let's see, the first anime I saw and knew it was anime...possibly either Akira or Vampire Hunter D. And my rediscovery of how awesome anime is was thanks to Trigun.
My first anime was Gatchaman (which aired here as "G-Force"), followed by Voltron and Sailor Moon.
Pokemon. Such a classic, came on every weekend until they started adding crap to it a few years back.
To be completely honest, it was so long ago that I can barely remember but it was either Yu Yu Hakusho, Gundam Seed, or Rurouni Kenshin.
samba bamba, llama momma.
need a new set, feel free to offer. :3
First anime I watched were back on Toonami so DBZ, Gundam Wing and a few others. But it wasn't until Adult Swim first showed up on Saturday night with there anime block that I realized anime was a separate genre. So for me Yu Yu Hakusho is what got me hooked on the genre.

Case Closed was my first, then FMA. And then, eventually, it became the only thing I ever watched.
My first anime was Sailor Moon. I was 2 years old but my first like cussing adult anime was Inuyasha. I was 3 or 4 when I watched that.
1st anime.......Chobits, and after that chobits, then chobits...then to the world of anime xD
Well, to be honest it'd be Pokemon but thats too mainstream.
I got into anime cuz a friend of my dad's sent me a box of DVDs and inside was the Cowboy Bebop movie.
Cardcaptors, still love this anime its just amazing! ^-^
"Dark light come shine in her lost heart tonight
And blind all fears that haunt her with your smile
My first anime was Dragon Ball its been allot of years since then, I watch it and from them I saw Naruto and so on.
My very first anime had to be Fist of the North Star. That series just absolutely blew me away, everything in it just drew me into it even more. ^^ An anime like that makes a pretty strong impression on a kid too. ^^
I don't think I'll ever forget that one.
Now if only I could buy the DVDs, or even VHS tapes, but I can't find them anywhere. >< I 'd give both arms and a leg to buy them too!
But yeah, definitely Fist of the North Star is what got me into anime in the first place. ^^ ^^
well technichly it was pokemon, gundam, and rurouni kenshin. But what really got me into anime was yuyuhakusho so thats wat i count as my first anime...only saw up to the end of the dark tourniment as a kid then i was like grozit, i wanna see it again and learned it was really long haha
Mine should be either Sailormoon, Cardcaptor Sakura or Pokemon...And yeah, they all made me love anime until today :P
I just remembered further back and Ninja Scroll was apparently my first very anime. ^^''
I forgot about Ninja Scroll. I don't know why though, it was pretty awesome. Probably meant for more of a 'mature audience', but you couldn't have pried me away from the TV. lol I just thought what I was seeing was that cool. ^^
And not to pull your halo down, around your neck and tug you off your cloud,
but I'm more than just a little curious how you're planning to go about making your amends to the dead.
Your halo slipping down to choke you now.
Samurai Pizza Cats was my first anime. =w=
Well, Pokemon was the first... but I wasn't really familiar with "anime" then (I was like what, 7?), so the first one I watched that I recognized as anime was probably InuYasha... or Trigun... Although I think I remember my mom trying to get me to watch Sailor Moon since everything else was too violent...

Sailor Moon, it aired during the mornings one summer back when I was a kid. Didnt' even knew it was "anime" back then.
Honestly, I think Sailor Moon was one of the first shows that came to my country (Sweden).
I can still remember some of the show, even if I havn't watched it seriously now for years.
Can remember how much I admired Sailor Mars; I thought she was really cool and also I can remember that my siblings always screamed excited for me to hurry and come when the show was about to start. We all really loved it and missing it "would ruin the day!" so we were very anxious to make sure that no one would miss it. Can't even understand how the time can have passed this fast. I know it was a really long time ago, but it really doesn't feel like it. Have I really gotten that old already? Jeeeeeeezz.... I miss my youth.

Aaaaaaahh... memories... <3
Season four of Sherlock
The new Hobbit movie
Season five of Game of Thrones
New episodes of Downton Abbey
my first was probably knights of the zodiac, I remember I used to have all the model kits. I also remember watching a pretty cool anime where this guy would fight monsters and then they would turn into peanuts or sunflower seeds or some crap like that after he killed them. I dont know, I havent watched anime since I was a kid but I do clearly remember those from my youth.
