Destination Is Nigh

after changing buses... i am now on my way to the ferry landing...

Land tripping...
Who said that it's fun?...
it is so tiring..
it feels like you have too much sun...

four hours the ride has lasted
as much as i want to share
i am too exhausted
to open my eyes and my ears

in times that i am sober
the scenery is a dream to behold
it makes one regret not to be a ble to take a picture
silly pride that's what is called..

the winding road, snaky on some curves
straight on the next, narrow and wide...
the town are far between it's turf...
one glimpse saw fields, sea and mountainside

the fields can be green or golden
green for fields newly planted
golden for fields near harvest
and other fields that rice is not the yield

on we go and caught the glimpse of sea
so calm, so near, so blue...
the mountains do met the sea...
a lovely meeting that is true...

and the mountainside so green
filled with trees to the up to the top of the mountain
some just trees, others fruit (crop) trees..
makes you wish, just wish...

the bus went on and on...
you feel so isolated...
as the bus slowly emptied...
passengers get off, only a few get on...

i wanted to scream...
are we there yet?....
i am so tired of sitting...
my butt is hurting....

then finally as in slow motion...
we approach the town of my ferry ride...
the bus stopped at the station..
the conductor help me off with a smile...

i smiled and sighed...
one ride more.. one ride..
i will be at the beach paradise..
Boracay Island as promised...
