What do you think is the saddest part in Gundam SEED?

I think that the saddest part of the series was when Nicol died. I felt so sorry for him and his piano music makes me want to cry even more. :'(

Yeah, I agree that Nicol's death was sad. For me, the saddest part would have to be....not enough romance between Lacus and Kira! Nah..actually, I can't think of one at the moment :/

The amount of gall it took to allow it to be a part of the Gundam franchise.

Nicol's death was sad, but the saddest moment for me would have to be Kira and Athrun's death match that followed. To have to watch two best friends give their all to kill the other, all the while being driven by forces beyond their control, was a truly heart wrenching moment.

The amount of gall it took to allow it to be a part of the Gundam franchise.

Harsh, dude. Though I have to say GSD was a disgrace.

Oh, if we're adding Destiny to this, then yea, that would probably be one of the saddest scenes I've seen in Gundam

The saddest part for me was when Nicol died fighting Kira - he was one of Athrun's closest friends and I was affected profoundly by his death in battle.

Destiny is very sad indeed. I don’t remember names and details, but I clearly remember the idea:

It’s built around a series of individuals, for whom the author creates an image of good guys, and the leader whose intentions are hidden and who seems to be a bad guy. As it turned out, the leader wanted the majority of people to be happy. “Good guys” said they have a right, granted by Nature, to be on top and killed the leader.
