I finally found my prey, hidden away in a cave filled to the teeth with Deathclaws.

But alas.
The hunter has nothing left to hunt.
Nothing of note anyway. Took down every color of the Deathclaw rainbow.
Everything else is smalltime.
I want to say I saw someone on /v/ mention something about a radscorpion queen...Maybe I'll look into that.

Thanks suggested str for laser weapons?

You can get away with 5 str and use most energy weapons except heavy duty stuff like gatling lasers, plasma casters and tesla cannons. They require 8 str. Though there's a perk that lowers strength requirement by 2 available at level 16 called Weapon Handling.

If you start with 5 str, and then get a strength implant, and pick weapon handling, you can use all weapons in the game, except miniguns which require 10 str.

You can still use the guns without meeting the strength requirement, but you're gonna be less efficient with them.

Thanks, I'll have to use a training perk and bring str back to five. I'll have to remember to take the perk at 16.

Need to find a passport, since I don't have enough caps to meet the balance requirement though.

You can get one by purchasing it from Mick and Ralphs in Freeside for like 500 caps.

Lol, I kinda butchered my first play through, ended at level 14. Trying again. Though I have to say, I think Yes-Man will be my favorite char in the game.

Get to the Armory in Vault 34 dude... Guns, guns everywhere.. You can earn a load by selling them

Seriously though, I got this game on day one, and I can't stop playing it.

My current character is basically a gunner who can use any and all Guns. I have Euclids C-Finder, which my copy/PS3/tech allows use once every few days, or whenever (it's glitching, only fires every once in a while, but it does it to great effect.)

I have high numbers in everything but Charisma, which is 1. I'm level 21 right now, and I have pretty much killed most enemies.

 

Most of them. I know I killed a ton of named enemies, like Alpha Deathclaw (with All-American after a Archimedes II drop on it (twice)). I have found all the good uniques, to my character archtype at least. All-American was hard because of the radiation and ghouls, the others were less than hard, but still challenging.

This game is great, but there are problems. I do experience moments of invisible walls when there shouldn't be any. I get lag, and have died from it. Reloads didn't allow me to fire until a few seconds after the animation was done. There are visual glitches that make it impossible to see things from certain angles.

There are others, but I can't remember them. I do like the story-line quests for each faction, with the quests themselves being quality over quantity. Side quests make it quality and quantity. The dialogue and humor are excellent, and the fact that murder with new weapons is even more exciting than before means I'll continue to waste my time with this game.

 

Seriously, go find the C-Finder. You know, the one that the boy that's chasing the girl has. It doesn't work immediately, cause there is of course a quest to it, but it's well worth it.

Here's an interesting glitch. At the Vikki and Vance casino they don't remove the chips when you turn them in. You can just keep on cashing in.

Gotta love getting stuck in those invisible walls and end up having to load from the last save. >=[

Or meeting two immortal deathclaws. Seriously, I loaded clip after clip into them and they took no damage. Yes, I was hitting them especially since I tried melee. As for the invisible walls, let me climb a mountain dammit. Really, seems they put them there just to annoy you and make you take the long way. Oh, anyone know a decent way to make money for implants outside of the glitch I just found? I can afford one but I'd like a bit of a cushion for ammo and what not. And not the casino since the max bet is 200 no matter what one I go to.

You need mountaineering equipment to climb mountain faces like that in reality. Doesn't make sense to be able to do that in game, especially with 200 lbs of equipment on your back.

Yes, and no. There have been people who've climbed mountains without such equipment.

And they did this after being shot in the head and walking in the desert for days? Maybe if you have like 10 END and 100 survival skill, but anything less. Just no.
