Savior

This poem is dedicated to my only Sunshine<3 ^^



You took that light and stunned my eyes
That light even pierced through my dark
depths created by the demons in my closet

Oh, those demons
All the troubled that
they caused. My agony
was the cost. Who knew
I'd have to pay in pain.

Guess if I didn't I'd die in vain?
Guess if I didn't I wouldn't take
the path that ultimately led me
to you. So all my falls, I appreciate
each one. Because I only needed to
be brought up once. In life we must
fall a thousand times in order to truly
appreciate what will make us fly.

This light really needs to be brighter
But you already put the sun to shame
Look at it for too long and you'll go blind.
But I want to only be able to look at you
with closed eyes. To see your soul for what
it really is. Seeing is the weakest sense.
Why use it when I can look through a different
lens? My gut tells me you're an angel in
human form. Maybe it's because your smile
warms my frost bitten heart. Maybe it's because
your voice sends chills down my back and even
through my arms. Not to cause you any alarm,
but I think I'm slipping into a coma. Unless of
course the white light I'm seeing is of your
own making. I always knew you shined that
bright. Your potential has always been high.
It inspires me to take my life to new heights.
I'm afraid of heights, but with you that's an
fear of the past. I found my guardian, he's here
at last. I was in need of some saving. And you
came along to be my savior. You're responsible
for the death of my demons. You are the reason
I was able to leave them. You showed me that
I deserve better. You've taught me that together,
We can be brighter than a sun and 100 lightning
bolts combined. Our shine makes the stars want
to hide. Their presence is nothing compared to ours.
I walk down a winding path of deceiving loves no
more. All my inconsistencies washed up on shore and
have evaporated, all thanks to you, my Sun. The only one
that saves me from a withering state. The one that
takes all the excessive weight on my shoulders and
transforms it into love. All the love in the world
could rest on my shoulders but all I want is yours.
