The Brighter the Light the Darker the Shadow
Nonon Jakuzure - Best Kill la Kill baePretty damn great! #spoke2soonOta "The Cutest Otaku" 2016 - Lol, how's your account doing lately? Oh wait.
Super Mario 64. It was one of the first mario games i've played on the 64, and I think one of the best.
Sunshine was ... not great in my opinion. I never beat it, but the controls were odd and the concept was a little strange. I don't know. That's not really a good reason, but anyway. Some games work, some don't.
Do you really even have to ask that question?
Super Mario 64
Super Mario 64 should win in my opinion. My reasons?
More challenging levels
More variety with the levels
Mario feels more natural to control
Much better camera system
The Long Jump
More faithful to the classic Mario games
Super Mario Sunshine does have its good points, and is a worthy game in its own right - but it's also testament to the fact that Nintendo should not have tampered with what was a winning formula.

I really enjoyed Mario 64 and even played the DS version so many times. Its a really fun game, only too easy.
I played Super Mario 64 after Sunshine, and whoa...It actually felt like a sequel, because generally sequels are better than prequels. xD 64 had a lot more depth in the gameplay.
Like, I don't know why I never played this game on the N64...O_o especially since it's a Mario game.
Super Mario 64.
Is there any other choice? Frankly, Super Mario Sunshine was too easy, everything was too easy to collect, the worlds, I thought were much more simple - there were less secrets to them.
❝you're horribly facinating.❞
I never played Sunshine. Didnt have a gamecube so the answer is pretty obvious. 64 was great in all aspects
Sunshine had way more secrets in it than 64 did.
The entire Delfino Plaza was filled with little things here and there as well as hidden levels that you had to try to look for. Not to mention the levels themselves had small caves and little extra things that you'd completely miss if you weren't looking for them
The "blue coin" thing was awesome, because there was an extra 30 sun sprites that you needed to get by trying to find those elusive coins that were every which way.
The Brighter the Light the Darker the Shadow
Super Mario 64 would have to be better. Super Mario Sunshine was when Mario started losing his touch of jumping on enemies without the help of a weapon. But Super Mario Sunshine did have more secrets which made it a more challenging game.
Super Mario 64. Mainly because I'm with the Old School compared to the New. But even then I've been playing Mario 64 for a few months now and STILL have not beaten it. Despite it being old and simple looking it's pretty darn complicated. Like the water level.... OMG x.x But yeah the newer games are more easier cause the kids these day in ages don't really like challenges. But rather simplistic things or blood and gore.

Super Mario 64, why? 3 reasons
1: SMSS got rid of the long jump
2: SM64 has more nostalgia
3: Polution??? And its obvious who polutied the land and the final boss is too easy...why?
