Berserk Anime Continuation Confirmed

As many of us have long suspected, and as rumored, a continuation for the anime of Kentaro Miura's epic dark fantasy manga Berserk was confirmed today in the newly released 35th volume.

No details were given, all that was stated that there would be a continuation of the anime.

YESYESYES. I cannot wait to watch this! I'm guessing we don't know how many episodes they'll do, though?

We don't even know if it will be a legitimate series; it may be OVAs as well.

The original anime series covered volumse 3-13; 10 volumes for 24 episodes. Assuming the same standard is kept, there's enough uncovered source material for another ~50+ episodes. Or they could do it as intermittent hour-long OVAs, to maintain a higher quality of art and animation, which would be fitting for a series like Berserk.

The fact that it has a CGI effect bothers me a bit. =\ Not a much as my friend though.

I still need to get round to reading the manga.

I wouldn't be surprised if I catch up on the manga first before this happens.

Old news? The video was just put on YouTube today...


But it seems the pictures that were leaked to the internet last year were in fact images from this new series; the same effects were used. I'm just hoping it isn't used over all of the animation...



Edit:

It's come out that the studio working on the animation is Studio 4C as I suspected in the other thread; the CG style is a give-away.
