BGM: Metallic Madness Zone - Bad Future (Japan/EU version)
Game: Sonic CD
Original Platform: Sega Mega-CD
Comments: I love how menacing and "metallic" this BGM sounds; got hooked the moment I first heard it.


BGM: Casinopolis: NiGHTS Pinball
Game: Sonic Adventure
Original Platform: Sega Dreamcast
Comments: I don't know of any BGM with a sound as dreamy as this one!


BGM: Hidden Palace Zone
Game: Sonic the Hedgehog 2
Original Platform: Sega Genesis/Megadrive
Comments: For reasons I can't explain, I rather like this BGM - though admittedly, it gets repetitive.


BGM: Theme of "TIKAL"
Game: Sonic Adventure
Original Platform: Sega Dreamcast
Comments: This BGM really captures the pure-hearted and spiritual nature of Tikal imo; it also has a tint of sadness, almost as if to affirm her vision of a future in which her beloved Chao creatures are annihilated from an apocalypse.


BGM: Forest Temple
Game: The Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time
Original Platform: Nintendo 64
Comments: This BGM has a haunting melody that really depicts the mystery and seclusion of this apparently forgotten forest.

I don't particularly think of an Electronic Light Novel as a video game... yeah, I'm kinda old-fashioned like that. But... oh, what the hell; I'll make an exception here! This track is beautiful, and it works so well with the "scene" where Fuko gives a starfish scuplture to her sister. :')

Ugh, it's hard to pick 5, I've played so many games that had a great soundtrack xD
The japanese composers are the best imo. The Sonic music, FF, Suikoden 5's soundtrack, Megaman and more.
I really hate making top lists, so I probably won't do it this time either hehe. Just check out the soundtrack for Suikoden 5, and you might understand :P

This soundtrack from Rayman Origins is pretty fun though, so it could get a spot on this list, at least on the top 10 list :P

Word! The soundtrack for suikoden 5 is so epic! Wind of Phantom is one of the most "Lets go out to have an adventure" soundtracks of all time!

In my first post I forgot to mention the most annoying but yet fascinating theme ever !

It's so simple but have a strong effect! If you grind to achieve the next level the victory fanfare was an annoying crap theme but if you fought against a boss and barely won and then this piece of music showed up....uff! <--- You !

Videogame music are some times so epic!

I just found that piece and it reminds me of the countless hours I played the game Nier! It fits perfectly with the setting and presents a united front that made an unbelievable atmosphere. This game is raaaw!
