voice/s of your mind

Here's another thread that requires some thinking. When you think of something do you have one or many voices talking inside your mind? Is your mind a monology, a conversation or a creative chaos?

as for myself, my mind has one voice who is usually in control and leads the conversations, and other minor voices who represent the different aspects of my personality. However, in usual situations, only one aspect of my personality is in control, so my mind is largely a monology, but from time to time, a minor voices takes control or just yells out his opinion.

The main voice is mostly calm and logical. Some of the minor voices include the "sarcastic dude", who acts coldly, trusts no one and responds to everything with sarcasm. The "know-it-all", if the main voices asks a question, this voice is usually the first one to answer, with a long explanation based on sheer logic. The "romantic" who wants to see love and the better side of everything. And lastly the "Troll" who takes nothing seriously and responds to everything his twisted and perverted sense of humor.
Whose opinion matters the most depends entirely on my mood and the situation that i'm in.

So, tell us how your mind works and comment others if you like to.

When I was little, my thought process was like a movie set with the director holding the camera and everyone else around him. I would think something and then they would tell me their response and I would agree or disagree. They mostly laughed at me though.

They had an "accident" and thus their mangled corpses were left in a heap. Now they got replaced by Sal and Sigma which are like angel and devil only different. Sigma is the fun one who decides Sigma's forum actions and fun time. Sal handles pre-caution, responsibilities and looks into consequences. They hate it though cause my mind smells like dead movie crew.

It really depends, when I'm typing it's like an echo of my voice, and when I read I usually hear my own voice too, but when I read someones post I imagine a voice.
When I make choices, it's my own voice as well. :3

I have a 7 'man' council in my mind. I think of doing something and they weigh the pros and cons then they vote on if I should do it or not.

I got this one voice that I talk to at certain, a really arrogant jerk who I often ends up arguing with, its a love/hate relationship between us.

I've only one 'voice' in my mind, and I would say it's a pretty calm and logical one. One thing in particular I'm grateful for is that it's really honest with me; which, obviously, means that I'm honest with myself. But, whenever I have trouble coming to a decision or thinking clearly, it's always there to help set me straight again and give me an objective answer to the best of my ability.

I have many voices in my head, but only one is ever in control at a time. There is a little Barney (stinson) in control mostly. Sometimes it is a shy and sensitive person. Sometimes it is a sarcastic condescending smart person. Sometimes its an actor (one who takes over when I need to lie). Sometimes its an otaku or just an idiot teen when I feel like just having fun. There is also a serious person who is constantly concerned about the future. It really depends on what my mood is, but there is always only one in control at a time.

I struggle to keep my thoughts in my head. Most the time I just talk to myself which annoys everyone nearby.

I seem to have two.
One that's lethargic, opportunistic, takes few things too seriously and says his thing in colorful English with a voice surprisingly different to my own. Almost like an avatar one bases on himself with a few aesthetic differences.
The other usually just sits locked away until such a point as I need a specific mindset. I think in monosyllabic grunts/snarls, each representing a certain action while another part constantly scans and analyses things that can be manipulated. Brutally fast and efficient, but useless for tasks requiring higher level thinking.

About 90% of the time, I'm either rehearsing what I'm going to say; creating hypothetical things I would expect someone to one day ask/say to me and then plan an appropriate response if/when that ever comes up. OR, I'm hypothesizing and creating visual models/analogies for theoretical physics. <-- have to be careful with this one though, as some times I've become so distracted, I completely go on autopilot and forget what I'm doing. lol

Although sometimes, I find it quite humorous ways to amuse myself, such as creating specific roles between myself and the hypothetical person(s). An example of this would be two Old British men that would be like something straight out of a Sherlock Holmes series:

person 1: "how goes it ol' chap?"
person 2: "dreadfully busy..."
person 1: "oh? what have you?"
person 2: "I must find a new way to explain quantum uncertainty"
person 1: "have you not already tried the Schrödinger's cat anology?"
person 2: "ah, but alas, it is a flop. They still don't understand. QQ"
person 1: "but surely, you will find a way that provides no loopholes. I am in no doubt of it!"
person 2: "perhaps, I should find the things that are more relevant to their interests, and not so much of these cats in boxes."
person 1: "INDUBITABLY!!"
Both: "hohohahaha"

When I'm talking with people I have two voices. One of them is the shy me and the other is telling me to be funny and sarcastic.
And when I'm shopping and when I'm thinking of buying something that costs alot I also have two voices. One telling me to go for it because I really want something and I may never see it again. The other tells me to think about it and asks if I really need it.

I argue with myself alot sometimes. >.>

I'm not entirely sure how my mind works, though I suppose I could guess.

First off, when I'm reading something, my mind puts voices in for the narrator, character, or person who wrote it.
This voice always depends on how the person acts, and how they type/respond to things.
Unfortunately, it does have its drawbacks in that I never think of accents which completely throws me off if I actually talk to the person in the future.
Oh, and when I read something that I've written (after I've written it) it doesn't sound like how I would perceive myself to sound like so I put in some random other voice as though it's someone else who is saying what I had said (Hope that makes sense).

As for my mind, it just takes everything in and tells me what to say.
If I'm talking to someone, I don't think out what I'm going to say, I just say it.
Which, surprisingly, has never had something go horribly wrong with it.

When I'm by myself and thinking about something, or reading about something,
I'm constantly making connections to things outside of what I am thinking/reading about.
Sometimes it makes sense with the subject at hand, and sometimes it's completely random except for a tiny bit of it.

For example:
(Spacing out at the mall while my friends are talking)
First Friend: ". . . Continental Math League."
My mind: "Continental. United States. AF arcade game."
Me: ". . . I failed the 3rd grade."
My friends: ". . . What the heck?"
All in a span of 5 seconds.

So basically:

-My mind has tons of different voices, but they all combine to form one which I presume would be myself.

-When I'm spacing out, reading, or thinking about something, I make random connections.

-Oh, and when I'm extremely stressed, all parts of my mind separate into different characters. One of them will be the sarcastic one, one of them will be the "I do not want to deal with you, get out of my way before you regret it", one of them is the happy, relaxed, "I don't care about anything" one, another is the, "AAAAAAAAAAAAAHHHHHHHHHHHHHH, I'll never be able to accomplish all this! DDDX", and then there's the calm one who says, "Don't worry, everything will be okay."
Somewhere in there I think there's one who's more intelligent than the rest, but I hardly ever see that one.

I would think that kind of applies to everyone though. kind of like self-reflection sort of deal.

"What would [person] think of me if I did X?"

Of course, being completely apathetic to everyone's values can probably be seen as a pretty big problem in of it's self.

Oh, but you have no idea how complex these characters can get. Of course, most of them are based on real people and inspired by my arguments with them, but sometimes they can be the exaggerated versions.
One of them, for instance, I like to call Superfrankie (who is, of course, based on real life's Frankie) and he is extremely stubborn, believes in authority and thinks that freedom is overrated. Whenever someone tries to point out his logical fallacies, he uses Chewbacca defense and acts like Jack Shephard before he left the island.

Anyway, these internal discussions help me better myself by viewing certain things from different points and deciding which one is the best. Also, monologue is kind of depressing.

Well, I can't speak for everyone, but with me, when I say voice, i just mean the personality or persona I am in when communicating with someone. I don't actually hear voices.
