before i took this photo shoot, i made my usual series of alterations,
common to every doll i adopt that possesses mass-produced clothing.
i trim all excess fabric from all seam joints. this is necessary to
achieve a truly realistic fit on her body. all mass-produced doll clothes,
from the odd BARBIE fashion at your local TOYS-R-US, to the most expensive
and exotic clothing accessory for VOLKS' Super Dollfie doll series
have the obligatory excess inner seam material. there is no other way
to mass produce scale doll clothes en masse.
naturally, tolerances can be cut much tighter from the outset when producing
one-off doll clothing by hand, as i myself do. this can easily be done to
mass produced doll clothing, with time, patience and a careful hand.
also premeditated before Hazuki-chan's arrival, was a pair of white slippers
to replace the stock "boots" that she comes with, that attempt to poorly simulate
a pair of slippers with long, ballet-style ankle-support tie ribbons
that wrap around the ankle and lower leg;
i received these two-three days before Hazuki-chan arrived, and i took that time
to carefully remove the thick ankle straps, and add the long tie ribbons.
anyway, another important alteration was Hazuki's Panties. she came with a white and green striped
pair of bikinis of the variety that i personally CANNOT STAND and are so popular as to be almost
obligatory in Anime and Manga these days. of exactly why, i cannot seem to begin to fathom.
anyway, those went bye-bye straight away, replaced with a pair of pure white satin, lace trimmed bikinis
that i had hand made. i added a matching Bra as well, since she never came with one to begin with.
besides, had she actually had come with a Brassiere, it most likely would have been coordinated to match
those godawful stock panties.
anyhow, i also have provided Hazuki-chan♥ a pair of lovely matching
lace trimmed socks.
finally. since Hazuki's clothing is of the Victorian-era-inspired "Gothic" style, i replaced her stock
pair of tight-fitting Bloomers with a looser, fuller pair, and also made her a Chemise (Camisole) in order
to provide her a full set of Victorian-era undergarments.
i'll provide pics of her in both sets of undies, as well as in her "Y-SHIRT MODE" (as depicted on the box)
in the near future...
