I liked it up to the third generation. The water pokemon were always awesome. I don't understand how they have the God of all pokemon and they are still making more. Ash needs to freaking age.

Lugia and Ho-Oh deserve to be up there, but any other pokemon from the 2nd gen. shouldn't in my opinion, Lugia is great so I take back some of my Hatorade. Since were all Pokefans I respect what your all saying. Idunno, I just really don't like the 2nd gen.

That list was made based on the competitive quality of Pokemon. Lugia and Ho-Oh would get severely raped by Arceus and Mewtwo. Not just from base stats, but the fact that they have better move pools...and the fact that Arceus can be whatever Type he wants, giving him an advantage over...everything.

EDIT: Wait, that list is organized by total stats...not how well the Pokemon performs online. I was wondering what Regigigas was doing up there lol.

Well, people who say they only like Gen I pokemon don't realize this.

While the Gen I species were indeed the "original masterpiece", they weren't enough for a fulfilling gameplay. Some Gen II species were lower in terms of quality when compared to Gen I species, but they were a necessary addition, and overall, they're still great. Gen III species added even more variety. And personally, I find Gen III species awesome. They weren't any less in terms of quality. So the species of the first three generations are all great and a are necessary part in the development of Pokemon.

But in my opinion, everything that lasts too long will end up going down the road sooner or later. This is very much the case with the Gen IV species. Seeing that list of new garbage hurts as much as adding crap to your ever-delicious soup. (Though there were some good evolutions.)

Dunno about Gen V pokemon, but I'll assume it'll just continue going down the road. The creator of pokemon can't seriously expect to somehow end up having 1000+ species and making them all unique, cool and all.

Also, the gameplay cannot be significantly improved on anymore. Pokemon has already reached its peak.

Pikachu cuz he is just immortal.... in more ways than one. And Moltres cuz I like fire birds.

My favorite gen was 3. The pokemon looked the most "natural" to me; I could see how they could really exist in their environment. Like for example.. Tropicus; I could see that actually existing in an environment and it makes sense as being a product of evolution. That's just me though. lol

I like the original 150 plus Mew; but the newer Pokemon just look like derivatives of the originals, only with more garish colours and sillier names. Hmmph!

I kinda of agree with this >.< But Johto is my favorite region :p Pikachu will always be my favorite pokemon though :D
