I just finished it this week. The bodice is lycra, the collar, bows, skirt are made from a thick crepe like material. I'm pretty excited that Comic Con and Anime Fest are on the same days ^_^

It looks perfectly similar to the original! Well done! ^0^.
Ohh tankie. I only made a few changes since these pictures that aren't very significant except to those with OCD lol.
good job =]
~Maggietron~
When can we see you in it?
Hand made or purchased?
Back, by popular demand! Now with new avy.
lol.. when I wear it for nycc!!! I will take bunches of pictures
and for the handmade/store bought person.. um... I thought it was obvious where it came from.. one can clearly see the sewing machine behind it.... -_-;
Yes, it matters a lot. People who buy their cosplay online are often seen as "doin it rong" and cheating. Cosplay is about creativity (in that it's often inherently impossible due to physics to exactly a lot of anime costumes) and paying tribute to your favorite characters. If you're just buying it then you lose respect in a lot of cosplayers' eyes.

oh and usually the bought costumes suck... unless you commission a good cosplayer... If it's an ebay or partycity type costume it is lame to buy(and yes I would point and laugh) - but I see no reason not to commision a cosplayer. I'd gladly make fukus or whatever for friends(assuming they aren't taking advantage LOL) Not everyone is skilled with the needle and thread...
looks just like Salior's
I was thinking of doing a Sailor Mercury Cosplay. She's my fav character, mainly because of her innocence and intelligence. Fits my personality perfectly!

"love is patient and kind; love does not envy or boast; it is not arrogant or rude. It does not insist on its own way; it is not irritable or resentful; it does not rejoice at wrongdoing, but rejoices with the truth. Love bears all things, believes all things, hopes all things, endures all things."
Thats nice =] Lovely colour x
Owh sailor...

anyway..neat work ^^
i like it
Nice!
Great work, Love it
The dress has some curl around the waist, you tailored it well
Mars is bar none my favorite Sailor Scout in the SM series. Fire beats just about everything.
Except for pure light, but there isn't a Sailor Scout for that, unless Sailor Moon is . . .
So, um, yeah, Mars rocks!

My Wi-Fi, it's gone out . . .
I don't think there is anything wrong with buying your cosplay. Some people don't have a lot of spare time, and are pretty useless around a sewing machine (me for example). I buy most of mine and get my mum to make any alterations I need. Although she is making me one from scratch for Avcon in July. I had loads of fun choosing the fabrics and patterns.
But even when I have bought cosplays online, I still hunt around for the right shoes, accessories etc, and put loads of effort into hair and make-up.
