I didn't know if this should go into the Photography section, but thats where you post pictures you took, right? So I thought this was a better place.

Anyways, I want to study Photography. And I always wanted to get a better camera, a SLR camera. Last night I looked into Nikon, and Olympus. I need opinions on brands, prices, and etc. But I don't want like a $7,000 (I think that one was for Nikon! That was crazy.) camera.

Currently I have a digital camera, it's from Nikon, it's part of the CoolPix series (You know, the one with Ashton Kutcher?) So yeah CoolPix S3000. It's not bad for $150, but it's a bit slow..Well yeah. Any suggestions?
