Just becaus there is School in Highschool of the Dead doesn`t make it an School anime lol.
They don`t do much school stuff there, only for like less then 10 min of the first episode

I was thinking of a school anime series called High School Garegga. The three main protagonists of this possible series are Yuko Takane, Saki Tatsu, and Gary Regal. Gary is a transfer student from USA and he befriends Saki and Yuko after he is assigned to House Ice. All three characters are part of House Ice of Sakura Junior High School.

Well, I don't know exactly what you'd want. High School of the Dead is awesome, however, it's only like the first episode or 2 in a High School then the rest is on the streets. If you'd like that, I'm assuming you like some ecchi, then I'd recommend High School Dxd. My new favorite anime that I've been long waiting for. Very few animes are this great in my opinion with the right amount of ecchi, action and supernatural powers. One of the few animes that I actually get butthurt that an episode ended.

If you'd like to watch an anime that is pretty much entirely on school campus and has some ecchi I'd recommend R+V (Rosario Vampire).

I know two other series that center around females, who have to fight, Mai-Hime and its spinoff sequel-like series - Mai-Otome.

In Mai-hime, there are 13 'maidens' who have been chosen to partake in something the "Hime's Festival", and the last one out of the 13 would be the winner.

In Mai-otome, the same characters from Mai-hime are there, but they are not part of the story. Taken directly from Mai-otome's wikipedia:

Mai-Otome's story takes place in the distant future on the planet Earl, colonized by immigrants from Earth centuries ago. "Old technology" has survived in the form of nanomachines that allow female virgins to take the role of Meister Otomes - bodyguards, attendants and warriors that serve the royalty of various kingdoms.


Arika Yumeyira has come to Windbloom Kingdom in search of her mother, whom Arika knows was an Otome. On her arrival she meets the top Coral Otome student, Nina Wang and Windbloom's heir to the throne Mashiro Blan de Windbloom.
