I've kept up with the manga so I knew this announcement was coming but when I saw this episode I had shivers run up and down my body. When Head Marine told the world that Ace is Gold Roger's son it reverberated into me. That is how I felt with knowing it was coming...

I'm curious if everyone had similar reactions and just general thoughts on Ace being Gold Roger's son.

I didn't actually watch that episode, however I understand how you feel. The same thing happened to me when the crew was lined up in front of the cp9 in enies lobby and ussopp set the flag on fire declaring war to the entire world ! That was one of the best moments in one piece, that and when luffy tries to insult zoro by calling him "santoryu" priceless XD.
