I'm sorry for butchering your thread(s?) in my early days. The rules thread I wrote (regarding links at least) was a bit exaggerated (it was during an era of extra spam in Mecha though). I'll see how I can refine it, just not right now. Surprisingly, I'm terribly busy for a while. Until then, if you're unsure about a link, just post it and I'll review them all later. Though, rule of thumb is that informative links are fine. Scanlations, streams/downloads, fanfics and advertisement are still not.

Gundam Wing is the only Gundam series I watched. I grew up with it actually.. and until now, I couldn't get myself to watch the others. Mainly because people say Gundam Wing is still the best. Ha ha! But of course, if I find time, I might still watch the others. Now back to this, is there an English version? Or do I have to force a friend to translate for me.

Anyone been keeping up with the Wikia page's updates(or been able to track down translations)? Sumisawa is really pulling out all the stops with the characters.

It seems that I'm finding good things said about this novel. However I'm still not going to read it, as a certain anime reviewer on YouTube read the first two chapters translated online and said that the story is a really bad fanfic. And I actually agree if Trowa has a adopted son that looked just like him. Plus it has been said that it is a slap to the face to what was preached about in the TV show and Endless Waltz. That the Gundams return when they should be destroyed for good. I don't know if I'll give it a chance, but if I do then I'll consider it non canon. Just like I consider G-Saviour to be a non-canon in the Universal Century universe.

Honestly, that's exactly the same first impression I had when I read the prologue about a year ago. I was kind of disappointed and eventually forgot all about it, but recently I stumbled across a translation and was able to read more. It really is absurd that the new main characters are all blatant knockoffs of the original cast, but nonetheless the story is compelling, the battle scenes are great and the backstory is definitely intriguing.

It also strikes me as pretty silly when people try to "deny" canon. The people who create these shows are the ones who determine the facts about them, regardless of when they do so or whether or not we like it. You wouldn't try to dispute a fact or event that ocurred in the main series or Endless Waltz, so why is this any different? Considering that the concurrently running manga "Endless Waltz: The Glory of the Defeated" is essentially a retelling of the original Gundam Wing series that incorporates all the new material, I'd say you don't really have a choice on this one.

Anyway, if anyone is interested in reading the translation of Frozen Teardrop up to Ch. 15 or thereabout (the translator isn't labeling them by chapter, but so far we're up to Nocturne of Sorrow V) then feel free to reply or PM me and I'll hook you up.
