Should Japanese include English Text in their following games?

Dryaxx and I were discussing this over MSN, and we agreed. The 3rd Birthday will have no English subs, but the menu and I think the items as well will have English content, I am talking about the Japanese version.

But I think the Japanese should realize than Americans import their games for many reasons, and many of them don't know Japanese..so I guess if they add the option of at least adding subs into their games, that would be nice.

Your thoughts?

I won't mind in a few years, since I probably will know Japanese already but still, I think that would be very nice.

Given the ridiculous disk space for games these days, I can't understand why many successful Japanese games don't include English subtitles.

Subtitles aren't an issue with DVDs, so why should games be any different?
