Don't get me wrong I understand what you're getting at. But in order to do that you would need multiple copies of a dungeon to add more difficulty due to the increase in people playing. That'd take up a lot of space and I'm not sure how much a Wii CD holds. As for different characters. People like Zelda would have to be out since it'd make no sense story wise.

Well,that makes sense now that I look at it in a different view. I don't think that wii cd would hold much to it. I'm not really use to Wii because since I play more 360(which holds more space) than the wii, It's not bad. Heh heh, it makes sense now with the characters.

Wii DVD's can hold around 4.7 gigs, but the games usually take up about less than 2 (Except for Brawl which takes up 7.2 (I think) but it's on a dual layered disc which can hold around 8.something). Adding more difficulty to a dungeon doesn't necessarily mean adding more stuff to it. Take a look at the water temple in OoT for example. There wasn't much stuff besides the water switches, and it still gives me nightmares. But 4 Swords multiplayer would be insanely awesome. Just imagine one player using their shield as a grapple point for the other players to use their hookshot on, then they use theirs the same way to get up a temple. God I can't wait until next year @_@

Also skyward sword looks enjoyable. I wonder how online would work in t-oh wait. You guys already said that. And gamegeeks, your not alone. I enjoyed four swords. I enjoyed it while screaming 'BURN BURRRRN GIMME YOUR FORCE GEMS' while my friends attempted to kill me throughout the level without me ever throwing the first hit. Oh fire rod, how I will miss you. Good times. Gooood times.

Anyways, the name could've used some work. But still, DLCs for a zelda? I can imagine one of them for multiplayer being a revamped water temple designed for four people and designed to make people cry.

I don't even want to imagine the water temple for this one. Multiplayer+Water Temple=everyone having horrible nightmares. The one in Majora, OoT, and TP were all amazingly evil D:. I don't really remember a water temple in WW though.

So apparently Skyward sword is supposed to take place BEFORE Ocarina of Time.

In an interview with Nintendo Magazine, Eiji Aonuma made the statement that the upcoming Zelda game, Skyward Sword, will chronologically take place before Ocarina of Time. He also confirmed the existence of a large, overarching timeline that is contained on a secret document accessible only to himself, Shigeru Miyamoto, and the director of Skyward Sword. He said the reason for all the secrecy is so Nintendo can make new titles and keep things before and after each other.

Well I really like the style of this new Zelda game. It gives (to me it does) a Impressionistic style. It's all bright, and the coloring is very soft. I love the style. And I like the new idea of using the wiimote as a sword, and the nunchuck as a sword. (Was TP using the wiimote as a sword as well? I have the gamecube version because at the time I didn't have a wii. So this will be new to me) Something new and interesting to do, while trying to get a hang of the whole new way of playing. I'm sure they'll fix up the graphics a bit more, it's coming out in 2011.

The one thing I really hope they make harder, is the boss battles. They were so easy after OoT. The bosses, you kill them in three hits. In WW, I got bored while beating the boss in the Wind Temple. It was so boring, it was just the same thing over and over again. So I hope they fix that up.

I agree also that I love Twilight Princess' style more. It made me more into the game, and then Wind Waker came along, and I was disappointed at the cell shading. I wanted to keep everything 3D, not cartoon-y.

Well thats about it, and I'm also a huge Zelda fan!

I would love to see this timeline. I have long since found it folly to try to place the Zelda games in any kind of order.

By the way, I am excited for this game. I don't think the graphics are anywhere near as bad as they were in Wind Waker, which I hated not for the graphics but for all the damn sailing I had to do. Do not want. However, of course haters gonna hate.

As for Miyamoto, he says there is no real time line. Each game leads to a new hero called Link who has to save a different princess call Zelda from a different baddy called Ganon. Every time.

The Zelda timeline is pretty confusing to figure out, but here's my theory:
The first zelda all the way up to OoT was straightforward. Then it all goes weirdly. OoT leads into two directions: the one where Link goes back in time, and returns to Hyrule as a child leads to Majora's Mask, then Twilight Princess. The second way is where Link doesn't kill Ganondorf, and as a result Hyrule was washed away by the gods in an attempt to stop the madness. Then Wind Waker comes. BUT there are flaws in this entire theory, which makes it just that. On another note, the history of the Master Sword is supposed to be revealed in Skyward Sword as well as some crucial piece to the Zelda Timeline that everyone has apparently overlooked. The more I think about it the less sense the timeline makes sense, so I'll wait a while for it. As long as they don't go all Kubo Tite on us.

This game really puts the "action forward" into something much much more elaborate. Instead of you having to just swing your wrist to have Link hit an enemy, you literally have to move you body and swing at a certain way. Your exact moves (supposedly) will be Link's exact moves. Interesting to me. I'll buy the game for sure, I still have the original white colored Wii.

@Hyphen: I'm gonna have to disagree on that. In WW the game says he simply never appeared. Not to mention the fact that Gannon was banished in both time lines meaning there was no need to wash Hyrule away at that point in the time line. And I'm of the opinion that the Zeldas up till OoT aren't strait forward. I believe ALttP comes after OoT. But you're right about flaws in theories. There's no evidence to back up any time line theories.

Oh joy, it's been pushed back a bit.

As of December 21st, the game is over half complete. [...] originally predicted to be slated for early 2011 but now its looking more towards the middle of next year possibly amidst the launch of the 3DS.

Well Nintendo you take your sweet time with this one, and hopefully its worth it. It's a Zelda game though, so it's worth it by default.

Yeah, this looks pretty promising. Not sure if it can stack up against TP, but we'll see.

I didn't play TP on the wii, mostly because I preferred not wasting half the game testing a brand new interface, but.. looks like it's unavoidable this time.

Not at all. Skyward Sword is pretty much finished except for the dungeons, bosses, and some extra stuff they aren't telling us about. They said somewhere around June for SS though. And the 3DS comes out in March I think?

Personally, I am also very disappointed with the graphics. I don't think I would mind as much if they would have used toon Link instead of adult Link; I believe that if they would have done so the overall look of the game would make more sense to me. Although, I must say that I am still somewhat eager to play. I think that once I feel the excitment of a new Zelda game I will be able to look past the odd graphics and enjoy the new adventures. I only wish that this could have been something for the gamecube... (which I know is not really possible because of controler issues, ect.)

Awhhh you stole my post. I was going to come in here and post that if no one else did. But you did D: I found out about it a few weeks ago and my mind was blown @_@

I wish I could play this. Too bad they discontinued the GameCube in 07 meaning no games come out for it now. The Wii is a nice party console. But I don't have large groups of people come over so buying it just to play Zelda is out of the question. At times like these I wish Zelda wasn't strictly Nintendo and could be released on multiple consoles ;__;

PS: I don't think the graphics are bothering you guys as much. In reality they are pretty decent. It's just in the videos everything looks foggyish with an orange tint. If they'd clear it up a bit and make it pop a little more it'd be fine IMO
