Who Won E3 2010?

This thread had to come, so who do you think "won" E3 this year? Microsoft failed miserably this year, Nintendo did pretty good, and I didn't see all of Sony's but they looked like they did pretty good too. I'll hold off on my vote until I finish looking through Sony's stuff. So yeah.

Personally Nintendo, I loved the balance of some old series making a return and the new tech of the 3DS. Not very impressed by either Microsoft or Sony this year, The Xbox 360 Slim would have been great 3 years ago , Playstation Move looks horrible, Gears 3 was the only game that impressed me between both of them. Personal opinions aside I think Microsoft will make the most money with Kinect and the 360 slim over the rest of the year.

Meh. Sony disappointed me. This wasn't my favorite E3 by far, but at least Wii are getting some good looking games this time around. Nintendo gets my vote.

Nintendo by far. I liked the return of a lot of their classics. I also thought that the 3DS was well done and was pretty amazed by the quality of the graphics. Sony failed pretty horribly since most of the show was either promoting the motion control or their new 3D TV. Microsoft sucked for obvious reasons. The only thing that really interested me that wasn't from the Nintendo conference was some of the games shown by EA such as Dead Space 2.

I'm so frustrated by this.
Just cos the Wii sold loads, doesn't mean it's the way gaming should go, or even the profitable route. I can see it with my friends who have Wiis. They bought it and never play it except with people who've never played it before.
THe novelty wears off sooo quickly, and the same will ahppen with Natal (Kinect) and PS Move (which looks like it's gonna be glitchy anyway, PS movement has never been promising.)
They need to concentrate on games, and making the interactivity with the game more real through use of the regular controllers, cos that's what we all think, gamers and I.

But srsly, Nintendo. They've swept up the market and now they're going to clean house. Sony I thought weren't too bad but xbox was abysmal. Particularly the guy they had talking about Natal. I hate him so much. He looks like a hobo with that stubble and those rubbish clothes. He struts around with ridiculous sunglasses and is chewing gum. CHEWING GUM? You represent a huge company and are selling a product, have some respect.

Did you watch Nintendo's e3? The wii is a console not a game. Its just a machine that plays stuff. Saying its not the way gaming should go makes no sense because it can go anywhere. That's exactly what Nintendo are doing, they're releasing more advanced games and are going to take over Sony and xbox's market. Notice how there was no 'wii sports 2' or 'super cool new brain training' at e3 this year? It because Nintendo knows the casual gamer market is closed, they've exhausted it. They are now releasing more hardcore games and capitalizing on their original win.
Xbox and Sony are now trying to go after the market Nintendo already conquered. But because everyone and their grandma's already has a wii and the casual gamer games there will be no market for it. Like you said the novelty wore off. Now Nintendo are aiming higher while xbox and Sony are left in the dust. The did the same thing in the 80's with Rob the robot. Hook a bunch of people in with what looks simple and easy, then bring out the big guns.

I believe Nintendo won. Microsoft spent far too much time talking about Kinect, and although Sony had some nice games, it didn't really interest me. Nintendo showed the games that everyone expected, yet they also showed some surprises (Kid Icarus!!!! ) Hopefully the other two will have better conferences next year =/

I don't care about old games for the nintendo, I don't care that Nintendo can't come up with anything new for their Wii besides revisiting Zelda. I have no past memories of playing Nintendo games, so Nintendo didn't win in my book. The DS thing looks interesting, but after buying countless new DS versions, I could care less.

I however am interested in Kinect. I don't know about you guys, but it would be nice to interact with AI in games because too many games are linear, something that I don't like.

Microsoft's sucked, end of story. Wasn't interested in the slightest. Faked footage of people "using" the awfully named Kinect was pretty lame. More shovelware FPSs...eh.

Nintendo's was more-of-the-same, a new DS (again), and a bunch of casual gamer garbage. I'm still waiting for them to have a new idea or new IP. A good game wouldn't hurt either. Unfortunately, their mindlessly loyal audience will just continue to eat it up.

Sony's was bland and uninspiring, with horribly unenthusiastic hosts, but inFamous 2, Portal 2, and Twisted Metal have me psyched.

This year, Sony ≥ Nintendo >> Microsoft.

I voted Konami. I was going to vote Micro$oft but that video changed my opinion.

I'd also like to point out that I don't own a PS3, a 360, or a Wii (my younger siblings own one, but I never use it) so I have nothing to gain or lose in defending Micro$oft.

At E3, everyone loses.

I wasn't really paying attention, but I did walk into a room where a TV was left on MTV to witness MS's Vaguely Related to Their Wii/PS Eye Rip-Off Dance and Expensive Lighting Spectacular and realized that the marketing section at MS is run by a trained porpoise and a 11 year old girl who's way into ballet. So, not them.

What casual games? There was a new nintendogs and I think a new wii games thing but other than that there was none. Their main focus this year was very much on more hardcore games. They're branching out in genres and moving away from casual games because there just isn't really a market for that anymore.

You can argue that Nintendo was boring because it was just rehashed games and sequels but if you say that then you have to make it a criticism of all of them. Killzone 3, Crysis 2, Portal 2, Gears of War 3, Halo Reach and a string of wii rip offs. Playstation and xbox hardly had anything new.

Nintendo did a really good job in this years E3...The new 3DS and Kid Icarus, but Sony really did a great job too with its move but I dont know about Microsoft
