Why are "heavy metal" and "metal" separated? Why are "rap" and "hip-hop" separated? They're synonyms.
Why are hip-hop and r&b combined?
Why are rap and rock combined?
Why is all electronic music pigeonholed into "rave/club" and "trance" categories?
Where the hell are root genres?

Although I like Metal, and Heavy Metal (whichever Metalcore is considered as), I picked punk, cause I guess that includes Hardcore Punk, Emo, and Post-Hardcore Punk/Screamo.

I completely disagree. I say hip-hop was better in the 90's (I don't really feel all this southern crap) and I like indie rock these days, though I fear now that it got so popular, it may turn to crap like so many genres before it. Also, what about the 80's alternative? Shoegaze? Post-rock? Various revivalists?
