Which natural disaster do you find worse?

Like the poll says. I didn't add disasters like big snowstorms and such because they can be fun. You can play in snow, you can't play in lava or debris.

Oddly, I feel tsunamis are worse than anything. They're very hard to predict and track.

How much damage they cause: Volcanoes hands down.
How many people they kill: Tsunamis or hurricanes.
How much infrastructural damage they cause: Earthquakes.

I'd say Volcanoes..because if you get near one those erupting, you wont get out alive..

I voted for Fist of the North Star Landscapes, just on a hunch. In reality, I think I fear tornadoes the most. Partly because I live in an area where they happen, and partly because they're extremely sudden and there's nothing you can do unless you're already in your shelter. In an earthquake, you may be able to reach shelter, or simply get away from things that might fall on you. In hurricanes, you can seek higher ground, possibly. In tsunamis...well, we don't have those in Texas but if we did, I'd flex my biceps, roar, and attempt to eat the water.

What I ment was, when a valcanoe erupts it shoots ash into the air and if a big enough valcanoe erupts (MT Saint Helens), the skies will fill with ash and block out the sun. Without the sun plant will die, then animals will die, and then humans.

Definally Volcanos, cause I'd rather drown, or be hurled to my death than be killed by bursting into flames. >.< Personally, i wouldn't enjoy dieing at all, but if i had to chose i would enjoy dieing in a snowstorm like the above said. SNOWMEN, could kill me <3 So, Volcanos would DEFINALLY be the worst.

Hurricanes and Tornados eventually die down, and the later of the two is only a real threat to area's near costlines/that are islands.

Tsunami's again, are only a major problem for those near cost lines, or for islands.
And I don't see those continent covering tsunami wave glorified in end-of-the-world movies happening either.

Probably Volcano's and Earthquakes.

Earthquakes can hit anywhere at any time.

Volcano's also include Super Volcano's, which if erupt, would wipe out a good portion of the Earths population (More or less pending on which one), sending humanity into dissaray.

All of them are just awful to be caught up in but my choice would have to be volcanoes. I wouldnt wanna die by being slowly engulfed by scorching hot lava. Yikes.

Earthquakes and volcanoes tie for top spot, with tsunamis coming a close second. The sheer completeness of the destruction is awe-inspiring. Tornadoes are too local/small-scale to really compare, and while hurricanes can certainly do enormous amounts of damage, it's not often as total as that done by the heavier hitting quakes/volcanoes/tsunamis can (hurricanes are easier to recover from, generally speaking).

Volcanoes are pretty destructive too, so it's a close call between those. Hmmm... Might as well include earthquakes in my top three.
