Who buys or sells on Ebay, and what, if you do?

I buy anything anime and anything I buy, I use the money I make selling stuff on Ebay to pay for it. I sell anything on Ebay mostly Yugioh and Naruto cards, but I will go to thrift stores to try to find treasures. A few weeks ago I bought two bells for 88 cents at a thrift store and got $40 on Ebay for them(SCORE).

I'm not, but my uncle is. we always go to yard/garage sales looking for stuff to sell on Ebay. You can make some good profit if you know what to look for.

Yeah, but think about the quality. I rarely read "good bootleg quality" on buyer reception.

I refuse to buy off of eBay. I'd much rather watch illegal copies of obscure '70's kung fu movies on the internet than give money to some mook who wants to make money off of my naivete. I'd rather take my chance with Amazon who has yet to sell me a bootleg.

I ordered an album that I'm almost positive was a bootleg, because the graphics are pixellated. It was a one man black metal band though, so it might just be legit. It sounds like it's supposed to so I didn't raise the issue. It also came with no liner notes, which is unusual for those bands.

Generally I don't sell anything on eBay. I have sold books and electronics on Amazon, and I prefer to shop with Amazon as well. Right now, I'm looking for a safe place to buy those nefarious PS2 swap discs so I can get some Japanese games...apparently they're banned from Amazon and eBay.

I suppose, if I was going to sell something, it'd be books, movies, or my card game stuff. I have lots of Magic and the older Star Wars one...

There is a chance of getting some pretty crappy things on Ebay, but in the end it is who ever is buying the items fault, if they buy it. If you dont trust the seller, just check their feedback score. And if you do get some bootleg copy of a CD or DVD, just contact Ebay and they will take the proper actions against the seller and you will get your money back, most of the time. Getting screwed when you buy things is a part of life, It happens on the internet or at a reguler old store.

Well, i've been a ebay seller/buyer since 2003.

I sell basically any new/like new or used item that I think will sell -- books, extras of new sets of stuff i've opened, excess stuff I don't need.

My feedback score is around 372. One buyer didn't leave me feedback. =[

I don't do a lot of shopping on eBay these days. I found Half, which is a part of eBay, but they only do video games, books, electronics, etc. I like Half a lot more. Amazon is okay. I just usually Google whatever I need to find.

I agree! Besides, you can easily get blu ray quality rips of old Kung Fu movies if you know where to look

Anyways, I wish I could use ebay, but Paypal was being a pain in the butt and I couldn't use it. It sucks, because there's tons of things that I want to sell and most of all, order! And I don't trust other payment methods besides credit cards...

Well, they just straight up froze my account, and no matter what I do, I can't unfreeze it. Luckily, I haven't linked my bank account with it, so I'm free to withdraw money anyways.

I dont know if you have this, it is the customer support number (888) 221-1161. call it and see if they can help you unfeeze you acount or at least what steps you can take to do so.

It's not like the artist would have gotten money from the eBay purchase anyway.

If they received a legit CD, it would mean that someone had to have supported the artist at some point in time (of course by artist, we really mean record company).
Since they received a pirate CD, the artist was never supported.

In both case, potential revenue was lost, but in the first case, revenue was at least made.

Nope. It was a notification on Paypal's site. After I logged in, they just told me that my account had been frozen.

I tried that number and even tried talking to that stupid bot o_o Nothing helped. I decided I don't need to use Paypal anyways. Thanks for the help though, knives
