Yeah, I started a thread about it. So, what do you like/hate/whatever about Twilight? Do you like the book better than the movie? Who's your favorite/least favorite character? And so on and so forth. As for me, I don't really mind it. The movie is -decent-, but the book is garbage. I don't hate it but I don't like it at the same time. So what about you?

I don't hate it, I just find that it basically ruined every vampire thing ever.

As for the movie, I saw half of it while babysitting. It seemed to lack a decent plot and had very little character development, really.

It's a Mediocre love story. Nothing to write home about or anything.

Well I've never read the book but I have seen the movie. From the previews it looked like it would be full of action but I was very disappointed when I found out the only action was during that one part...

Not as good or bad as people say. I read some of the book and it was enough to keep me entertained in detention, but I would never continue reading it.

Quite frankly, I don't like Twilight, and that's putting it nicely. Everyone is free to think what they want. Stephanie Meyer isn't a very good writer, and the movie series is a bit overrated. Vampires "sparkle" in sunlight?? I bet when Jacob showed up, a bunch of prepubescent girls wet themselves (lol, not my joke).

i read twilight and new moon based on a friend's suggestion and i didn't think they were bad. they were an easy read though. i finished them in less than a day. the plot was better than some books i've read and it wasn't too bad. decent would be the best word to use.

the movies i've never seen because i never got into twilight. after i read new moon, i dropped reading for a while and got into anime and manga.

I have always felt that a picture can speak a thousand words.

But sometimes something isn't worthy that amount of words, but can still be accurately described in one picture.

I myself,am not a big fan of Vampires.I never judged a book/movie/show,just because it had Vampires in it,I would look at the plot first.

Twilight is the biggest piece of trash to literature I have ever seen.Characters are boring,it's romance,they don't do vampires right either.

These characters couldn't even match up even to Archie Sheridan from Heartsick(That's pretty bad).

The books aren't too bad, really. It's the movies that suck.
I kind of hate how both the books and the movies play off of really hot characters, without giving them any depth. It gets more fame than it deserves.

I've never watched it, never read it, and never will.

Kristen Stewart is attractive, and I've seen other movies with her in them that have been decent. I won't give Twilight a chance because it ruins vampires.

I like vampires, in movies and stories, but a vampire is a certain type of creature that doesn't exist in the world of Twilight. I think even Buffy was a stretch when it came to how vampires behaved, though I'll admit to liking that show when I was younger. Mostly it was because I drooled over Sarah Michelle Gellar, but still. Vampires don't have to be the villain, but they kill people, drink their blood, etc.

If I was a vampire, that poor girl would have been a vampire five minutes into the movie, and a few other things would happen, and it would have carried an R rating.

Thankfully, I'm just an insane snake man with a legion of cowardly soldiers and a guy with a metal head at his command, rather than a vampire.

I know I am going to get a lot of bad reps for this, but here goes nothing...

I HATE Twilight! There, I said it. Words cannot even begin to describe the deep HATE I have for this series. I grimace at the site of anything Twilight related and try to stay as FAR away from it as I can. The books are a disgrace to literature and its amazing how Stephanie Meyer gets away with basically writing these fantasy abortions that really are just an expression of her own suppressed vampire fantasies (the obvious references to Mormonism do not help either).

The movies are just as bad. Robert Pattinson is barely an actor (he sucked in Harry Potter, he sucks in Twilight and he sucked in Remember Me) and Taylor Lautner is almost as bad (he's funny, I'll give him that). Kristen Stewart...don't get me started on her (as a wolf, I would have killed her as soon as I saw her and New Moon would have been a rather short movie). The first movie was terrible. New Moon was an improvement, with better direction and better music. But the crappy as hell storyline makes me really not care about these positives.

I understand how some people can like Twilight. I truly understand. However, I just can't stand the series.

Well as it stands I am reading Twilight. As for movies Twilight=6/10 and New Moon=5/10 for me.

But to all people who say Edward and the vamps in Twilight aren't anything like vampires well people learn something all vamps in books and films are vastly differant to that of the vampires which exist in acient to medieval folklore.....so in short judge on fact not on what you think is fact...Vampires differ slightly and greatly from culture to culture.

And to edit on Twilight my only real beef is it stole Charlain Harris' idea from 'The Southern Vampire Mystery' series fo books which is now true blood(Twilight 05-Dead Until Dark-01)

I love Twilight. lol I only read the first one though. I haven't seen the movie's so I can't say about them. Well I could say that the chick playing Bella isn't that hot. : P lol oh well. I like Twilight a lot because of the parodies too. xD Like that Buffy vs Edward one. (good job finding that) I was at the New Moon party with a friend and passed a Buffy The Vampire Slayer comic and was like. . . hmm. . . "Buffy is a vampire slayer and Edward is a vampire. . ." lol
That also remind's me of a picture I have. It show's Ed and Bella in a tree all happy and what not and in the back ground is Blade. xD

Sorry to double post but I have to stop you at directer....but Catherine Hardwicke though inexperiencad her first movie Thirteen was fantastic and a true credit to film and Lords of Dogtown was beautiful filmaking and she got Heath Ledgers best performance out of him as Skip(Including Joker)

Eh, I've never been a fan of the series. I can't actually say its really terrible because its decent and has some good attributes but its not really my thing. My brother really likes it though.

I couldnt even finish the book, it was that boring and stupid. I watch the movie when there is nothing else to watch...just cause it has Taylor and Robert in it. Whateve'z.

Now the Vampire Chronicles by Anne Rice are something phenomenal and much older. Those books beat the crap out of the Twilight books. Lyke...srsly.

I've read the whole Twilight series and I thought the books were okay. It was definitely not the best series I've ever read, but it was enjoyable nonetheless.

As for the movies, I've seen both of them and was not impressed. I didn't like the cast nor the superficiality of the plot. The movies were kind of cheesy and dull.

I don't have that much of a beef with the directors (I didn't say anything about the directors). Catherine Hardwicke is a good director (she's apparently going to be directing the film adaptation of Maximum Ride); Lords of Dogtown is a beautiful movie. Chris Weitz has my respect for American Pie and About A Boy, but he also did that crap adaptation of the Golden Compass.

However, you get a bad story and a bad script, you get a bad movie no matter who directs it. Apparently, David Slade, director of 30 Days of Night, is going to be directing the next Twilight movie, Eclipse. While David Slade is a pretty good director, I hate the Twilight series (and view them as abominations to literature), so I doubt that there is really anything that he can do to raise my respect for the series.
