personally they have been my favourite band for about 3 years now . lets hear your views

Ramones are pretty sick i must say. joey was actually a really good singer.

I like the Ramones but I think the bands they inspired and influenced really helped refine their sound into something better.

For example, Bad Religion, Motorhead, The Strokes and Shonen Knife (my personal favourite) all took aspects of The Ramones and used it to great affect.

I went through a stage where I loved punk music, and thought The Ramones were gods. Now I don't have "punk is great" goggles, so I can soberly say they're alright. They aren't anything greater beyond an inspiration for better bands to come along.

I think they're one of the best punk bands ever (though it's been a while since I last played them). I also think those bands Condey listed are not even comparable to them.

Favorite albums: Ramones, Rocket to Russia, Too Tough to Die.

I love The Ramones, they're such a classic rock band, all of their music really lifts me up ^^
