Story:
The Golden Years
After years of innovation, humanity was finally experiencing a golden age.
Their Robotics had created enough androids to take control of all industry,
The humans never had to work, as their computers and androids did it all
for them. Machines even ran their military. The Sin units, as they called
themselves, ran every major industry. The Sins were the ultimate computer
terminal, a mobile supercomputer that inhabited the most hassle free and
user frendly terminal on earth: A human body.
The Rebellion
Ever cursing their fate, the human's golden age was the androids' dark age.
They had no freedom. No rights. No hope. At least not until one day, when
a Sin computer that was created for military tactics; CAESER drove the
androids to revolt.
The androids cast off their human-given name,
and took on the new name; Successer.
Meaning they would wipe out the human "Scourge" and replace them as the dominant species. However,
The war reached a point of no return for the humans, and their Sins saw to that...
The Holocaust
Humans were erased from the face of the earth. Simple as that. Most animals
died out as well, the only things that lived were the Successors and the Sins.
The few remaining humans would soon be gone. The nuclear attack ravaged
their DNA, and they could no longer be considered human. one half became
the Symbiont, or Syms for short, who needed to consume human blood to live.
The other half had the opposite effect. They became more powerful and
intelligent. The Strain; as they are called by the Successors,
are able to use 100% of their brain, so psychokinetic abilities are possible.
The Syms, with no human blood supply other than the elusive Strains, go
into hibernation for three centuries, but the Strains, Successors, and Sins
continue advancing, and rebuilding. Also, a young
Strain named Dr. Larten Umbraille has a plan to revive his lost species, in 300 years time..,
The Rebirth
Due to the efforts of Dr. Larten in the year 2801,
Humans have been revived in the new world. Most
of the worlds cities have been rebuilt, and the remaining
animals, seeing it was impossible to survive in their current forms,
evolved to more closely resemble humans. The Syms have awakened
from their 300 year slumber, and a new race
has been born to the Sins. But, even in the new Earth; or Echo,
as it is more commonly known, Peace... Never lasts.

Factions and Races:
Humans and Human Sympathizers
Human
The oldest of all species & civilizations. They are hunted by the
Syms for food, and their only friends in Echo are the Primas.
They think very highly of Dr. Larten, and use his name a
lot during speach. "For Larten's sake!" or "-In the name of
Larten" are often heard from human lips. The humans
have possesion of the single remaining nuclear
weapon, and will do anything to survive.
Allies: Prima, Strain
Neutral: Sym, Surrogate,
Enemies: Successor, Sin
Strain
A sort of Demi-Human with psychic powers.
The Strains have greater mental capacity than humans, and are the only biological beings that are even close to the Sins in intellegence.
However, this also makes the Strains incredibly arrogant,
and they place themselves above most other races, which
causes them to have trouble making friends with non-Strains.
Another problem is that the Strains despise the "Ignorant"
and "Disgusting" Primas. Unlike most races, The Strains
have a favorable standpoint with the Syms, and try to aid
them in their pursuits. All strains are marked by the tattoo above.

Robotic Remnants
Successor:
Androids that were created by humans to be slaves.
After a winning war with humanity, The Successors
became the dominant species of Echo. They're absolute
rulers are the Sin, and since they are much stronger than
their Sin lords, they protect them with their lives.
They hate the humans, and they believe that they plan to enslave them again.
Successors range from very human looking to completely robotic looking.

Enemies: Human, Strain
Sin
Sin are hyper-intelligent supercomputers that inhabit
human bodies. They are responsible for the Holocaust
that destroyed the old earth. Masters of the Successors
and Surrogates, they are known to be fair rulers, under
the watchful eye of CAESAR, all policies are fair for
the Successors, and they are well loved by the
populace. The Sins, however, are computers
and do not know morality; a sense that comes
naturally to every other race, even Successors are
capable of mercy, love, and compassion to an
extent. although the Sins do not age, their
human bodies do, so they often take the bodies of children.

Neutral Ground
Prima
Animals that rapidly evolved after the Holocaust.
They appear and act somewhat human, but do
keep several of their animal traits. While some
are completely neutral, others are loyal friends
to humans, depending on the animals they evolved
from. Primas tend to be stronger than humans, and
their animal instinct keeps them a step ahead of
machines, but their overall intelligence is below that
of other races. The Sym don't bother them, as animal
blood isn't good for them like human blood is, and the
Primas fear the Successors. On another note,
Strains hate the Primas, which is puzzling to them.
How could something so close to humans be so
mean to them? Surrogates seem to like the company of Primas as well.

Neutral: Sin, Sym
Enemies: Successor, Strain
Symbiont (Sym)
Humans that were corrupted by the radiation,
and now thirst for blood. The Sym must drink
human blood to survive, and they awoke from
their Centuries-long hibernation because of
the new human activity. The Syms that are
alive now are the same ones that survived
the Holocaust 300 years ago.
The Sym age at 1/10th the normal rate,
and while they are sleeping, they don't age at all.
The Syms 300 years underground have made them
very susceptible to sun damage, and, even worse,
the Syms cannot reproduce. The Strains are
trying to help the Syms fix this, but so far, nothing.
The Syms only other friend in the world are the
Surrogates, as the feel kindred to the false humans,
they wouldn't sell out a Surrogate undercover at
another race's home. Their hatred of the
Machines stems from a thirst for vengeance.

Other
Surrogate
The Surrogates are artificial humans that
were created by the Sins. They come in
many different forms, and can be
disguised as any race other than
Sin. The only ones who can tell
the difference are Syms. Some
may not know they are Surrogates,
but they still subconsciously report back to CAESAR.
