This brings me to a question: why do girls/women/ladies in general cry when they are angry? My recent ex went all mad-no....she went berserk after each small arguments and starts to cry. I've been accused for "not understanding".
Uh, when someone is talking between sobs, of course I can't understand.

So back to topic: Crying? Going to funerals for my fellow comrades.

Perhaps she hated fighting and it made her sad? It made her sad and angry for you "not understanding"? Perhaps she really, really loved you and it made her all the more emotional.

I`m not one to tell my boyfriend that he doesn`t "understand", but I do cry when we fight because I love him so much - the fact that he`s angry makes me sad, even if it doesn`t change his feelings for me. I`ve never been like this in previous relationships and in previous relationships I`ve never been this in love. In my last relationship I just got angry and yelled, not cried.

Coconut. Anything with coconut in it seems to bother me, though I can't quite explain why. Many a random moment have there been when I ponder the quandary as to why it is that the coconut vexes me so...

Other than that, people have quite a track record for bothering me on various issues; but for the most part I've learned to phase it out and deal with it.

Uhm . . . for crying, it's mostly just for my pets or animals in general.

Animal cruelty. Despise it with a passion.

What really makes me tear up, though, is when one of my pets die.
It starts with shock then leads to my crying for hours on end. ;_;
Just today, I had a dream where my dog, that recently was put down (He was with me for my whole life), was there. I'm not sure why, but I was hugging him and his head was resting on my shoulder just like when he was alive. At that moment, I woke up with my arm stretched our and gripping the railing of my bed. I was still on the edge of sleep so when I closed my eyes I could still see him . . . Yeah, I proceeded to cry. I really couldn't help it. Oh, and now I'm crying. Baaah.

Books, movies, and TV don't usually make me cry.
The three that really stick out are:
The Cricket in Times Square (I loved that book)
Marley and Me (I couldn't help it)
and recently, near the ending to Hanatsuki Hime

Not sure why I cried for the last one, but I did.
Probably because it was death in a way I really didn't want to see.

I'm more the type to be moved by very deep and troubling phliosophical things about humanity's failure to understand it's self, yet still trying.

What I trying to say there is that, something such as an individual having a hard time doesn't pahse me, but the overall meaning behind the whole point to that suffering is what makes me cry.

Things that make me tear up are the videos to songs like "Temporary Home" by Carrie Underwood, "The Call" by Matt Kennon, and "Hero of War" by Rise Against. That's for the music category. Happy, romantic endings to a movie make me cry. Also, seeing someone get what they've worked so hard for and hurt so much to achieve. People getting hurt or in need of help and I can't help them gets to me really bad too. Oh, and those ASPCA commercials with that song "Arms of the Angels" by Sarah McLaughlin and they show those animals that look like they're begging you for help. Thats what gets to me.

I tend to cry when I'm watching something and either
1. Someone dies. I will almost always cry on anything when someone dies.
2. Someone gets separated from someone they love, like, they're kid gets taken by crazy husband/wife. Or they're girlfriend has to leave for some reason other than a breakup.
3. Someone gets hurt. Like on Gundam 00

In real life, mostly when I fight with my brother or parents.

I used to take pride in the fact that no movie, book, or show has ever made me cry.

Then I watched Saikano, not the best anime ever, but well done. Something about it just got to me, and had me crying during most of the episodes. After that, I became pretty 'soft'.

Itachi's death (including the back story after), made me tear up, because I have an older brother that I nearly hated for some of the decisions he's made. I can kind of relate to the relationship, my imagination took care of the rest.

Bridge to Tarabithia made me cry too...

So...it seems, a close friend dying, an older brother dying (protective older brother I guess), and unwilling death machines make me tear up.

A girl crying also gets to me, it doesn't make me tear up, but...I just want to hurt whatever made the girl cry, unless it's a movie and she's moved by it or something.

Do fears count? Cuz ever since I had an 80 lb TV fall on my legs (only bruises, I got out of the way relatively in time) I've been deathly afraid of people moving TVs. If somebody is plugging in their VCR who doesn't look physically capable and need to spin the TV around, I might even leave the room.
