BlazBlue: Calamity Trigger

Anyone played it yet? Its a 2D fighter game. From the makers of Guilty Gear (which I've never played)

I usually play as Ragna the Blood Edge, Bang Shinigami, or Nuu (though Nuu is kind of cheap), and Rachel Alucard.

Its a pretty good game and its fast paced. And the characters are pretty balanced in my opinion.

My little brother played it. It's has a very hard learning curb but after that, it seems to be a fun game. There was a review from X-Play that they said the story is god-awful, in terms of originality. But disregarding that, the game is very good. For a fighting game from the people behind Guilty Gear, I have to give them props.

I dont know much about the story line cause I dont play that mode (mostly vs with my cousins), but the fighting is pretty good. The only thing I would have to say is that almost every move is a curb move which is lame in a way but the fighting is great. And it still costs like 45 dollars used, so you know its good.

B: BlazBlue is fun. I have to admit I don't understand the story (there's a lot of confusing things going on, and some VERY unfortunate implications for a couple characters in some of the endings - Tager and Arakune specifically) but all in all, it's a fun way to kill time, the voice work is solid, and the replay value is high, at least in my household. That's all I can ask for in a sixty dollar game, really.

I don't know about the whole Rebel part. I only play vs and I'm still a beginner so I spam some of the easy moves.

They are coming up with a new version I think called Blazblue: Continuum Shift.

it is an amazing game, i made a soul calibur character based off of Noel Vermillion whos in Blazblue, she is my best character ^^

Jin an Nu have such cheap moves, lol. Noel is my favorite, and Arakune is debately one of THE strangest characters you can think of in a fighter game. xD

seriously, all the normal moves you'd think would be in a fighting game, like "punch" and "kick", with Arakune are things like "lick", and "eat". lololololol

Great game, it's very pretty to look at; esp. the distortion/astral moves.

i know its probably wrong to compare the two but i cant help it: i really really prefer Guilty Gear over this. Some of the blazblue characters are really well designed (fighting mechanics-wise) but otherwise it felt a bit too slow paced. My time with it was fairly brief as i just played a few rounds when a friend got it and we got familiar with all the characters. still an interesting game in its own right but not really for me

My buddy has it and when I can get off work i visit him and we can play it. My favorite character is Bang...he has his own THEME MUSIC. My #2 is the cat-thing. I suck at the game, but I manage to have fun.

I've yet to play it. But seeing some of the gameplay, and being a big fan of Guilty Gear and 2D fighting games, it certainly has some stylish eye candy +_+

I LOVE guilty gear. I hardly see much 2d fighting games anymore besides the king of fighter which is another favorite of mine. There's a certain level of skill required in 2d instead of just button-mashing and win in most 3d fighting games. I have yet to play the game though i have seen it and read about it.
Its basically a guilty gear game but with more improvements made and a different storyline.
Just fast paced fight action plus the awesome rock music.
My favorite fighting game ost is definitely guilty gear and SF 2 comes close but the game's music just enhances the game by making your blood pump and you feel like kicking ***. I wish they'd made a new GG game instead of making blazblue though....

If you love Guilty Gear, you'll love this. It may not be GG but with the people behind it and on next-gen consoles, other fighting games have to follow up w/ something.

yeah but GG has the pull of having tons of personality and style. BB just didnt vibe with me like GG does

Just got blazblue...And I can say that It's pretty awesome....I was a big GG fan and BB was a great succesor imo. Anyone Play on 360??

Iron Tager player here. The online is incredibly cheap, Jin, Bang and Ragna players do the same thing every time.
Another thing it's hard to play unless you've got a good connectio, as nailing the super gigantic tager is a real pain when online.

Meanwhile the PSP version is better than the 360 and PS3 versions.

the game is apsolutely devastating... the animation, the fighting, the characters...

the new continuum shift is also good, but features just 2 new playable characters...

its better to buy the psp version of blazblue: calamity trigger ..... it has many many game-modi.... and tons of replay features..

C. Trigger should already be out there...what you're talkng about is Shift(sp?) which is the second one.

EDIT: WTF? Wait..? This game wasn't out in Europe? (The First one)

It seems so....That's very very lame...So I guess my friends imported the American and the Japanese version. =\
