Inspired by a recent argument: How popular were/are you in high school? On a scale of 1-10, I'd say I was about a 2. I actually don't think anyone even knew I existed, so maybe even a 1.

About a 1. But I'm still in high school!
I have recently transformed into a defender of the mentally ill. YOU HAVE BEEN WARNED!
I'd give me a five. Everyone knew me, and I had friends. I even had my own little clique, though we didn't taunt and harass people. We just listened to metal and played video games. I'm friends with more people from high school now, than I was when we were actually in high school.
I didn't have very many close friends but I was kind of known around school because I was a famous musician around the state. But as far as actual popularity and people actually talking to me, I'd say a 6... >__>
Just a popularity contest? What's more important than popularity?!
If each mistake being made is a new one, then progress is being made.
Freshman-sophmore year: 2
Junior-senior year: 8-9 (i had a really small high school and i was a graduating class of 4 and all of the youngin's looked up to me.
Well considering I'm still a freshman I'm gonna say a 1.5, but that's ok considering there's close to 2000 kids in my school =/. I mean my friends know me and thats enough ^_^

6.6666... repeating. I was very well known in the art/science magnet circles, but I was completely unknown to anyone in the law magnet unless I met them through the core classes/upper level math classes.
Also, I was always under the impression you were still in high school Ellipsis.
Well in my school not very high maybe a 7.01, but in the 9th grade i was a foreign exchange student to the US, Colorado* and i was an 11/10 and i was in marching band! but that doesnt count everyone know the foreign kids
3? xD No one knew me aside from my group of friends, but I got along with people in my classes.
If this were middle school it'd be -100 x3
ein, zwei, drei, vier bin endlich weg von Dir
fünf, sechs, sieben, acht Du hast jetzt keine Macht
I would give myself a six. Just because everyone knows me and i am on generally good terms with most of the school.

Probably 6.5/10? Still in high school here, and occasionally having unknown(to moi) schoolmates talking to me. Sometimes I pass by, they wave, I don't get a clue, then I continue to head where I'm going.
8/10. 3 sport athlete, part time job, partied every weekend. i knew pretty much everyone in school.
the one thing i didn't do.....watch anime. oh how the times have changed
>freshmen-sophomore>> i think 8.5/10 (i'm a daughter of one of the teachers at that state college..)
>junior>> 3.5/10 (i transferred school and this was my first year at a new school...good thing i have some old classmates [elementary classmates..] studying there..)
>senior>>7/10 (i have gained friends from other sections and lower years..also with the graders.. i also think other student know me [by face..] because i usually sing the mission and marching song of the school everyday during our flag ceremony..)
In Junior High, I'd give myself a negative 9000. Not like I wanted to be popular anyway. All the popular kids were stuck up douche bags.
In high school, I went to a school with 3,000 kids so it didn't matter if you were popular or not. I wasn't in any sports teams, but everybody on facebook recently has been looking me up and catching up with me and saying it's cool that I now live in Japan.
As for being a high school teacher in Japan, my popularity is over 9000

9/10 the whole way through.
Though, I really don't have a clue as to why. It just seemed like everyone knew me for some reason. Everywhere I went people would be like "HAI ERIC!", and I would just say hi back wondering to my self who in the world those people were or how they knew me. Maybe I just have some kind of magic charisma about me that I don't know about.
I guess I'm just a pretty memorable person really.
The Brighter the Light the Darker the Shadow
Don't know. Never cared.
Everyone knew everyone in our generation, so I interpreted the question as how highly they thought of me.
Probably a 4 or a 5. By the senior grades people got over the high school clique BS for the most part and I was recognized, so to speak. At the same time, I had my own group of friends. However, in elementary school I was bullied severely.
I don`t even stop to think of this anymore - I graduated awhile ago and you realize that there are way more important things in your life than high school... like your adult life.

Highschool sucks and there's nothing more stupid that a popularity chart in it!
id say about 5/10 because im part of a group of about 10 guys and we just hang around making jokes and talking, because im pretty quiet im pretty unknown outside my group and the basketball/ badminton clubs
Well, about all the way through my freshman/sophomore years, I was about a 4. I was the chubby kid that got picked on relentlessly. In my junior year, that jumped to about a 7. I was losing weight, becoming more mature and getting good grades. Now that I'm a senior, its about a 9. everyone knows me, more girls talk to me and I'll walk down the halls and hear a bunch of "Hi Jew Boy!"s and "Hey Mike!"s between class periods. Also playing and starting on the football team and baseball team helps too. Thing is, I didn't change my clique or anything. I still hang with the metalheads/gamers group but its nice to be not so much as popular as known without having to do drugs or go to parties. I do smoke though. That attracted some odd people.
