I see this game advertised everywhere... quite frankly I'm going to rent it, then decide if it's worthy of anything spectacular.

I've been a fan of the series, but I dislike where it's gone in the past few titles. Sequels this, FF VII ripoff that! And don't get me started on the awful theme song XIII has... I swear if that plays for more then 5 mins of the game then I'm going to destroy my TV... It's a fantasy game, not a pop-star music video!

If you wanted that just play FF X-2!

Edit: Blue Stone, I can smell the fanboy gunk off that news article... I don't normally consider articles less then a paragraph that contain sentences like "lambasted for its three discs and lesser graphics" makes it just as credible as Fox News.

Well, I posted an article that regarded than FFXIII has been pirated...which pissed me off but I totally expected it. I posted it because I was framed a bit earlier for "downloading" it...then again, it was my fault for not stating I got the Japanese version.

Also, FFVII is as overrated as DBZ. :o I personally think this is the best FF yet...but maybe because I got the Japanese version.

^ that is the american theme song. not the japanese one and that is the one burnt house is having issues with i believe. btw, i like the song. listen to it a few times and it starts to make about as much sense as any other FF theme song

Yeah..that's one reason why I imported the game...you guys do know that the song is gonna play in the credits? Meaning, it will ruin the awesomeness that is the ending of the game! O_O

Yeah, the american version sorta sounds overdone for me. Perhaps I'm just not a fan of the pop-song gendre. I was equally angry-faced at the end of Avatar when I heard something very similar *just learned now that it's the same singer... go figure*

Perhaps the song will fit with the game, but tbh I never really liked any FF song with lyrics. I enjoy music that enhances whichever experience is being presented (in this case, videogame experience). It just seems to me they're making this not to enhance the videogame, but to offer some extra stuff to add to their XIII soundtrack to make it more marketable (similar to what they did with X-2, but lets never speak of that game).

Like I said before, I'll rent it, then I'll give a more complete opinion and hope for the best.

It looks neat, I wonder how the combat system will work like. I do enjoy toying with it's already mass group of fanboys. I even convinced a large crowd a year ago that the main character's name was "Carrot", which proved my point of how sheepish these fanboys can be :3

hopefully getting it today. I'VE BEEN WAITING AGES!!! even though it's my first proper FF game (i have the ds remake of iv) i'm really into the series thanks to youtube lol. i'm not getting my hopes up on recieving it today though because it will be too much of a let down.

I'm not going to be getting it. I've lost interest in the Final Fantasy games around two years ago. I enjoy playing Kingdom Hearts now and I find the characters enjoyable, over my personally dropped Final Fantasy.

i cheered for the xbox 360 launch of final fantasy XIII! as a proud owner of the xbox 360, i'm grateful to square enix for making the game multi platform. i would be waiting till this christmas to play it if it was exclusive to the PS3.

there is no loyalty to one console company with square enix and the final fantasy series in general. it started on nintendo, moved to playstation, and now xbox 360.

I wouldn't really say I'm a proud owner of any of the recent systems...Or really game systems in general. I go where the games are. I don't care about the hardware companies really. Final Fantasy is still on the Playstation any how. It being on the 360 as well doesn't really take anything away from it.

Final Fantasy VII being on PC ruined the PS1 version for me!

I personally didn't wan't FFXIII to be released on 360 as has been said countless times before it is so overrated to the point that it overshadows other RPGs which IMO are better e.g Lost Odyssey, Blue Dragon, Infinite Undiscovery, I'd love to see Microsoft expanding it's existing exclusive RPG series instead of releasing FF for a quick buck.

I might sound like a ******, but thanks to the Xbox 360 the PS3 users lost the option of having Japanese voices. Like i stated, this is why I imported.

I have a feeling we wouldn't have had the Japanese voices either way. From interviews and such the heads at SquareEnix seem to think Americans don't want Japanese voices. So we probably didn't really "lose" the option in the first place.

I haven't played it yet, but I've heard from some media types that a few of the characters are actually better with their English voices..

Language settings have nothing to do with it being on Xbox since the first thing you do on Blue Dragon is chose between English or Japanese also other games like the Naruto games have language settings, I also find it funny how its port to the Xbox is being blamed for Squares shortcomings.
