Yeah, sorta....I discussed that in another forum.
@Erik: You are going to do some side missions, made sure to ace them(5 stars) so you don't have to re-do them for the all 64 mission 5 starred trophy/achievement. You get a Snow theme for PS3, also did you get the Loremaster achievement/trophy?

After story mode, there's going to be 64 stones(minus 15 since they are trials that are connected you'll see)
From Mission 14, you will get a Chocobo and you can search for items and you need to find a ribbon and you'll get an achievement/trophy.
I have 55% on trophies, in FFXIII. I wanan get plat so I get a Serah theme.

But you can do anything, level up etc.
Haha gona play FFXIII the whole springbreak.... Kinda sad.... Oh well..

Main area, brah...main area.
Well, I rented the game and so far it's business as usual. I actually am impressed with the changes they've made to the combat system though, quick and effective.
As for the characters... ooooh dear.
I expected the dialogue to be bad, and I got what I expected. Sazh is the only character I like in the game so far, since he seems to be the only one who isn't an anime cliche like the others.
Lightning: 22 year old sulk who has a "mysterious past" but somehow thinks that being cold to people and hiding her past will make people understand her. Why must our main character be awful socially?
Snow: A hero... according to him. He'll never stop reminding you that he is one, and constantly prove that he isn't... or at least he's really bad at it.
Sazh: The token black guy, but so far the best character in the game. Is often times the voice of common sense and reason, brings a sense of reality into this group of Final Fantasy characters. I look forward to see how he develops.
Hope: A very angry little boy. He's angry that Snow couldn't save his mum. He was infact so angry, that he decided to hi-jack a plane-like thing and follow snow into the Fal'cie and told Snow to stop following him (spite the fact Hope was doing all the following). Since he lost his mum he obviously replaced her with Lighting, who obviously isn't too impressed and doesn't know how to handle the confused little boy. I hope that Hope will grow some balls, because so far he's my least favorite character in the game.
Vanille: The tolken playful innocent young girl without a worry in the world. It's noted many times that her past contains a dark mysterious secret, it better be worth it. Vanille is basically Final Fantasy's Yuffie, Sophie and Rikku. There's one in almost every FF game, Vanille is XIII's version of the overly cheerful tease. Also wins the "Most Stupid Weapon" award, a big stick with antlers attached with retractable fish-hooks... wth?
I'm crossing my fingers that things pick up soon...
The characters change and quickly. Character development in this game has been pretty good so far, IMO.
AHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH Mission 62 is pissing me off!
omg,i wish they had training places were you can rack up some good CP =____________=..does anyone know some places or missions to do over and over that offer up some good CP??? preferably 10,000 or more CP
"Dark light come shine in her lost heart tonight
And blind all fears that haunt her with your smile
Dark light"-HIM
Fight an Adamantoise, they give 40,000CP.
I don't know it the attacks were translated so bare with me. Adamantoise are those big dinosaurs(Iguess) looking with the big teeth, so what you want to do is make sure you have your TP level at 5 so you can use Summon. Make sure you have Death in Vanille's Jammer/Saboteur role. Once you have both steps, head to the battle and the first thing you want to do is use summon with VANILLE, then his legs will break and you will have to spam Death until he dies. Best of luck.
And please, tell me you didn't level up the secondary roles(the three roles you get in Chapter 10)...because they are a waste of CP. If you didn't then you should do fine with the missions, but tell me in which mission you got stucked on so I han help you out.
Really, everyone...I did said I will give a hand...so why the hasitation? I don't bite.

Bump.
I've been enjoying it very much. I love all of the characters, especially Lightning because she is badass, though Vanille's voice is a bit annoying. I don't care much about the linearity because I just want to advance with the storyline and stuff. The graphics are stunning, and the battles are hard but once you beat them, you experience feelings of pride. I am definitely not disappointed with this game, and I am probably going to play it again once I beat it.
I. Am. So. Disappointed.
Alright, I'm on the third disc now, and just landed on Pulse...
The characters have gotten mildly better, although I had to smile my way past their poorly written dialogue since I realise it's a trademark of SquareEnix.
Lightning: She finally figured out that being cold and unresponsive is counter productive to anything they want to accomplish. This is good, but I was upset that she was with Hope to realise what a Tool she was being. What brought her to her senses was an analogy of humans being pets of the Fal'cie, which isn't the worst character transition ever but by far isn't the best (ex: Seifer turning evil in VIII because he was called "A little boy" opposed to Vivi learning mortality in IX while witnessing his fellow mages die).
Snow: This guy still somewhat pisses me off. "Heros don't need plans!", piss off yes they do! This is not good story telling! They're supposed to make our heros cunning and smart, not blundering muscleheads who charge into battle under the well thought out plan "Attack everyone in a different uniform then us". He has a small episode where he gets a wee bit emo, which is understanable considering what he just learned. It only lasts for two minutes because he suddenly chippers back up again, regardless he just found out his future-wife crystalized so they could destroy the thing they're trying to protect.
Hope: As in, "I Hope this guy stops being so goddamn annoying!". If the goal was to make me feel sorry for him, then it failed. Traveled with Snow for the soul purpose of giving him face full of knife because Snow failed to equip his "titan grip" gloves to save his mum before falling off a broken road himself. What's more annoying is the transition between battle, Hope goes from whiny hopeless child to my most powerful magic caster? He gets considerably better once he talks to his father, who probably beat him with his belt upon hearing what a retard his son was being. Since then he's more or less stopped complaining, even gave a half-assed speech on "NEvar gIviNg up!"
Vanille: Officially wins "Most cooky FF character award". She had all these secrets that would have benifited everyone if she told the party what she knew, but instead she kept it to herself and thought it'd be a good idea to be overly cheerful instead... who needs a useful character? Not Vanille! Oh yeah, she still hasn't told Fang that thing about the thing... I'm assuming that's more important information she's withholding for Scooby-Doo and the gang to solve.
Fang: I'm not quite sure with Fang. I liked her when she was introduced since she was able to deal with the impersonable Lightning rather well. Her memory is dumped, so she really has no useful information to give that was already given. What's strange is one minute she's acting normal, a voice of reason in the party... the other minute she goes emo-bonkers saying "I AM NOT GOING WIT CHU!" and soon recovers from her poorly inserted character anguish.
Sazh Not much has changed with this guy. The only new bits we find out is that his son (who looks like a possessed doll) was turned into a sanctum l'cie (how very Micheal Jackson of the Fal'cie to pick little boys). Sazh then learns that Vanille is somewhat responsible for that, goes on an emo "I WILL SHOOT UR FACE!" rampage that releases his monster-car transformer, then promptly returns to being the guy who flys ships and adds a few remarks here and there.

Inorite!
Also, another thing I'm worried about... WHERE THE **** IS CID AND GILGAMESH!?!?
It hardly feels like a Final Fantasy without a character named "Cid" who pisses around with airships. As well as the dimention travelling badass named Gilgamesh, the only character who can successfully appear in multiple Final Fantasies. Perhaps XIII has no legendary swords for him to hunt...
