What does friendship mean to you?

I have no REAL friends in REAL life, so I can't answer this question without sounding biased. To me, friendship means having a special bond between two people. You hang out together, you talk with each other, and you're there for each other. If I had friends, that's what would be special to me about them.

I don't have any reals friends, or will ever get any, but to be 100% honest, a friend is someone you can trust, someone you can have fun with, you can have a big fight but next day be together agian, be honest to eachother so much you can, and ofc, never be stupid to do something extremly mean...

To be completely honest, from the time i was small i made friends and they always would treat me differently after a while, so i never really had real fwends, but now that i'm bigger i can see wat real fwendship is about. You have to be able to agree to disagree, to be honest and trust eachother, real fwends will automatically click and the conversation will just flow, when you find a real fwends you'll know cos they will be the ones who will stick around for all the good and bad parts of your fwendship.
I only found a few real fwends recently and i think you can guess who they are, don't be surprised if your one of them.

my buddies are my cosplay group and we fight... alot... mostly because we disagree on stupid stuff. but, we're friends and we apologize and make up because that's what we do. we can't stay mad at each other for more than a day. we're all weird and have fun regardless...

i have other friends. i've always made friends easily so i always have someone there to text or talk to. but i don't have a best friend. my last best friend dropped me because i didn't like her boyfriend and her older friends.

i have a hard to get along with personality. i'm a leader and i express how i feel with no regrets. i can be bold and loud. sure, i get friends easily, but i don't get true friends...

I don't have any friends. I used to, and they've always betrayed me. I guess I'm sort of biased too.
I honestly would value friendship more than romance though.

But, as I said, I've had no long lasting relationships. Even though I'm only 16, I find adults much easier to talk to than teenagers. So all my friends are 20+
I mean, I do go to an anime club and have a few friends there, but I honestly don't know then well. I'd say friendship is the most wonderful thing in the entire world. They're your family pretty much, right? True friends at least.

I agree with what a lot of people have posted already. I find that I tend to make friends easily, but have a hard time keeping them. In the end, I always end up the odd ball out. Anyway, I think it'll just take more life experience to find out how to play the friendship game. Some people are naturally good at it, and some people, the majority of people probably, aren't.

Well, a couple of my buddies lost a life FOR ME and for the safety of my unit. In this military life, friendship means a lot. Hating means nothing and it doesn't exist. I've lost way too many friends to completely elaborate what it really means. But in my eyes, friendship is brotherhood to me. I will always find friends and be acquainted with them for a while, but I'd rather have my friends who are very close to me from the start. They know what I've been through and these are the people I trust my own life with, not just limbs. And if I can have one wish, I'd really wish to have my friends back from the day I lost them.

When I hear the word "friendship," I think of the people who've made me laugh and in turn I have made laugh. I think of the people who've shedded tears for me and in turn for them. I think of the people who miss me when I am not there and are missed at their own absence.

What makes my friends in particular special? The fact that they will burn their lunch time to mob with me to the bathroom because I cannot go alone. Waiting in line for fifteen minutes in a group of seven, and I am the only one who needs to go. Not the fact that they compliment me daily, but the fact that they hit me with a pick-up line. Those silly kids who will not pick me up when I fall, they will drag me across the floor until I manage to pick myself up. Those close to me who take insults as a compliment that makes our bond that much stronger. That's what makes THEM special.

i am naturally friendly person...
and i do develop a bond with people in so short a time...

but then, real friends are hard to find....
very hard..
that in 19 years of existence...
i only have 5 of them to be considered as such..
and these 5 do not know each other at all..
different people from different aspects and time of my life...
i have 2 from my pre adolescence age...
2 from high school and a cousin who loves me more than my brother...
i am not counting my college buddies since we have never undergone tests and challenges that would mold friendship like distance, separation and time...

Someone you don't worry about no longer being your friend, by that I mean you know for a fact that the other person isn't going to leave you because your just that close. (Just look a Dr. House and Wilson)

A good friend is someone you CAN argue with. A person that you both have the same amount of respect for. Who treats friendship more as a teamwork rather than individual. Someone that you would never feel nervous around even in the most awkward of situations.

That's what a real true friend means to me.

I said it before, I'll say it again. There is no such thing as friendship. You don't have friends. You have allies. Yes, allies. People with who you share common interests, and due to these interests a bond can be stronger or weaker. Friendship to me means just look at gundam seed Kira and Athrun, Getbackers Ban and ginji and the 4 member friendship of Gon, Killua, Kurapika and Leorio from Hunter X hunter. The less friends you have, the better quality it will be.

Sometimes we tend to blur the line between friends and acquaintances. But friends are those that we feel comfortable to be with. Someone we can share our thoughts with and most importantly, someone who is there for us when we need help. They don't have to be cool or look pretty. They just have to be a good friend. That's what friendship means to me.

I think friendship is a very special bond you share with some whom you've either known a long time or it can be simply someone you're just getting to know. What comes to my mind when someone says friendship, that all depends on where or how you say it. If I am online here I'd most likely think of my af friends. If I was at one of my friend's hourse outside of af I'd think of them.
