the very last dance
of mayfair
on the fifth, in the dark
on a plain
beautiful smile framed
by ebony hair
bright eyes
naught to prove
much to gain
she danced special dances
ones only seen
on the banks
by the mid
of the nile
she shimmied oh so
so you wouldnt believe
her living was earned
crafting tile
peasant skirts fly
timed by
tambourine music
makes it nice
to dream
for awhile
