RIP Nujabes

Seba Jun, better known as DJ and hip-hop producer Nujabes, was killed in a traffic accident in late February. The producer is well known for his subtle and ambient style, his collaborations with hip-hop artists from all over the world, as the founder of the Hydeout Productions record label, and on this site probably for his work on the Samurai Champloo soundtracks.

He had released two solo records, Metaphorical Music and Modal Soul, as well as major contributions to Hydeout Productions 1st Collection and Hydeout Productions 2nd Collection. He has worked with many artists from across the globe, including Uyama Hiroto, Minmi, Substantial, Shing02, Five Deez, Funky DL, Terry Collier, Pace Rock, CL Smooth, and Apani B.

Yah, really sucks about this news. He had a calm flow to the music which had a real touch of professionalism to it. Not just the samurai champloo soundtrack, but all the stuff he did. Its a shame but his music will live on i guess...

No way. That man introduce me to whole **** load of good music. Like Luiz Bonfa, Yusef Lateef, etc, etc. That just sucks ***. RIP NUJABES.
